18.01.2022 A reminder about those little hearing aid batteries. They are very dangerous if swallowed. Always keep batteries in a safe place, up and away from children who could swallow them. If you think someone has swallowed a battery, call the Poisons Information Centre on 13 11 26 and they will tell you where to go for help.... Do not let the person eat or drink until they have been seen at the clinic or hospital. Do not make the person vomit. Put dead batteries in a bin that children can’t reach.

12.01.2022 Two Victorian Hearing Australia Audiologists passing in the night at the Darwin quarantine centre. Clare finishing two weeks in quarantine before starting community visits in Central Australia. Paul starting a two week quarantine period ahead of Top End visits. Incredibly, in the last 3 months, our Darwin & Alice Springs teams have visited more communities and seen more clients compared to usual times. Amazing job catching up after the shut down and seeing people who have be...en patiently waiting. Huge logistical effort! Heartfelt thanks to all our Audiologists who are able to travel to the NT, quarantine and then stay for several weeks of community work.

01.01.2022 This NAIDOC week we are celebrating the "Spirit of Sound", a beautiful artwork commissioned by us from Aboriginal artist Davinder Hart. Originally from Perth (Bibbulman mob) Davinder also has deep roots into Ngemba country, in the far west of NSW. The painting reflects the importance of celebrating sound and connections made through storytelling - and story listening. Thank you, Davinder Hart. To find out more about Davinder or the artwork check out https://www.hearing.com....au/The-Spirit-of-Sound #alwayswasalwayswillbe
