21.01.2022 According to the fancy countdown clock on our website, we're only 258 days, 18 hours and a handful of minutes and seconds away from the third biennial Australian Industrial Hemp Conference. We have opened our call for papers from industry, business, and research leaders, with the theme of ‘Exceeding the Vision’ set for the conference in Launceston in March 2022. The aim of the AIHC is to be engaging, interactive and provocative, and to bring the whole industrial hemp industr...y and their supply chains together for conversation, good times and the latest news on industry development and research. Please either go to our website to download the PDF abstract template [Event Info -> Submissions -> scroll down to terms] or email [email protected] for a copy to be sent to you. And while 258 days seems to leave us all plenty of time to book our event tickets, book flights and accommodation, there is really no time like the present, especially as the Early Bird pricing still applies ;)

15.01.2022 While we're pretty excited about hosting our own national conference next year, we're also very keen to support our Kiwi cousins with their event next month. If you're looking for an excuse to cross the ditch, enjoy that ANZAC spirit and take advantage of the newly opened Trans-Tasman Bubble, the IHemp Summit and Expo NZ is happening on the 20th - 22nd May in one of New Zealand's tourism hotspots, Rotorua. The Summit, which follows on from the sell-out event in 2018, will see... the leaders of the New Zealand Hemp industry come together to collaborate, innovate and find out where we can all take our regions next billion-dollar industry. Hear from Kirsty Harkness, Mount Base Vineyards; Simon Yarrow, Callaghan Innovation; Nigel Slaughter, Ligar; Brad Lake, The Brothers Green; Mark Lucas, Cannasouth Bioscience Limited and many more of the people shaping the New Zealand Hemp industry. The organisers of this event are offering their Australian colleagues unlimited access to our Early Bird pricing, starting at $407.50 AUD for the two-day summit. 11.01.2022 After a very successful inaugural event in Victoria in 2018, and a fantastic follow-up in Western Australia earlier this year, we are so delighted to officially announce that our biennial national conference just won the Cannabis Industry Awards 'Event of the Year 2020'. Our two key sponsors for the upcoming event in Launceston in March 2022 - national membership group the Australian Industrial Hemp Alliance and the peak industry association for the hosting state, the Tasmanian Hemp Association - are excited to work with conference founder Robert Bell and Event Manager Andi Lucas to make sure the next event is even bigger and better!
