23.01.2022 This what Lions is about, ALCMF Tasmania’s Trustee received this email recently Dear George, I intend to write a longer letter when i am next at work, however I need to pass on to you and the Lyons club my deep gratitude for the gift of Joes recumbent bike.... Joe is an intelligent lovely kind boy, the only thing holding him back in life is his physical disability. He is brave, stoic, never complains about missing out on things. As a mum though, my heart breaks that he cant enjoy the simple and best things in childhood, like riding around the neighbourhood with his mates, or going for an improptu walk. You have made this a possibility for Joe, you and the club have given him this small but vital gift of having chance to be normal. He took to the bike like a duck to water, i would love for the club and yourself to see him riding, watch your kindness and generosity in action! Hopefully we can organise this soon. I will email you through a short video, and some more pictures as they come, but Joe and i would love the chance one day soon to thank you in person. Warmest regards.

08.01.2022 Where it began for us in 1997 - Hart Walkers were our staple for many years - this piece of kit is top of the range and costs about $12000. Children can use them for five years, but adjustment for growth costs about $1000 per annum

07.01.2022 From ALCMF Chair Danny Richardson’s page Lions working together Today (19 May) I had the privilege as Australian Lions Children Foundation Chairman to receive a cheque to value of $53,000 from the Lions International Stamp Club. Image shows myself, Ted Henebery Stamp Club President Chapter 10, Greg English N5 DC & Ken Nimmo ALCMF Treasurer.... Please support the Stamp Programme funds raised are well spent on Children supported Lions Also note we were practicing Safe Social Distancing

06.01.2022 Another rewarding experience of being a Lion. Harrison is giving his bike a test run. Note from his parents Harrison is just so thrilled with his new bike. It brings him so much joy. We are eternally grateful for the generosity shown to us, Harrison will just keep on kicking goals. Thank you for all your support’... Caitlin, Kyle and Harrison.

06.01.2022 Over time, we provided other walkers - different medical situations required more or less support. The physio decides which one - we (Lions) provide the funds.
