25.01.2022 Happy New Year Members National Committee is very happy to be able to let you all know that ONLINE ENTRIES are now available via our website amhs.com.au Once you log in, all details are on the Home page. Entering is a smooth, seamless process that is extremely user friendly. Payment options are by Credit Card, by EFT directly to AMHS National Account or by cheque if you wish. EFT payment receipts should be emailed to [email protected] to be checked off against your onl...ine entries. Cheques should be mailed to the usual AMHS address, also to be checked off against your online entries. There is a manual entries workorder available to download from the website if you need it, or you can email [email protected] to have one sent to you if necessary. We are excited at this step forward for AMHS. We hope all future shows including Feature Shows & State Shows will have this online entry facility for easy access for everyone. Our Society is growing in size all the time, and this will make life so much simpler for anyone taking entries in the future. Your National Committee

25.01.2022 Greetings Members To help you cope with our imposed lockdown why not visit the Photo Gallery on the AMHS Website. With the invaluable assistance from our Web Host - Member Jungle - we have managed to kill the bugs preventing you from seeing the photos in all their glory. This has now been addressed and fixed.... 25.01.2022 At the request of some members who have not yet had a chance to purchase their tickets, we have made the decision to extend the closing date. All of you who already have tickets will remain on our list of tickets holders till the new closing date which is 6 December 2020. Raffle will definitely close then, just in time for Christmas. 21.01.2022 All members and friends are invited to attend a Free Presentation on The Western Horse. WHEN: Thursday 20 Feb at 3.00pm WHERE: AELEC Lecture Theatre (just behind where your horses are measured) This is an airconditioned room with tiered seating and media facilities. No horses are required.... WHO: Our AQHA judge Mr Royce Holtkamp has kindly agreed to give us the benefit of his years of experience in the Western world by discussing Western type conformation, movement and presentation, with the goal of giving you more information to decide whether or not your horse would be suitable for Western Classes. Royce was a member of the AQHA Board of Directors from 2002 to 2007, during which time he held various positions including Deputy President, Judging Convenor, Show & Performance and Non-Traditional Events Convenor and Affiliate Convenor. Bookings are not necessary - please just make use of this wonderful opportunity.

AMHS NSW is looking into doing a clinic but would like to know if there is enough interest to run one and if so what people would like to see i...t cover, whether you would be interested in attending one or two days, and also the location that would suit most. These are the areas we would love to cover depending on interest * Feeding and nutrition * Show prep leading up to the show * Clipping * Razoring/ fine face trimming * Handling your horse and horse behaviours * Judge talk on getting the advantage in the ring * Performance - * showmanship * Handler * Trail * Jumping/hunter * lungeline * youth We would like to run the clinic at WFM Training at Oberon but if enough interest in another venue we can look into it. Please State: if you would be interested in attending, If you would like to see a one or two day clinic and if theres any other areas you would be interested in having covered

14.01.2022 AMHS has been most fortunate to acquire the services of Jane Richards for the Show this year. Jane is a Victorian who has been photographing horses for many years. Your Committee knows photographs can become a very costly item, but we all love pics of those special moments with our horses. In an effort to keep costs to a minimum, Committee has made the following arrangements with Jane. She will give AMHS rights to all her photos from the show by uploading them to our websi...te. You will be able to view them on the website and order those you wish to purchase through the Online Shop. Once you place an order, Jane will be sent a copy of that order so she can email those photos straight to you. You will be able to pay by Direct Deposit also if you wish. We intend keeping photo costs to a minimum, but a small fee per photo will help cover our costs for Janes services. Jane will be asked to cover ring presentations as her first priority. We will have a Photo Booth set up where you can also ask Jane to photograph your horses when she has time. You can also use the Photo Booth yourselves to take your own photos if you wish. As well, Jane has agreed to make herself available for private photo shoots at AELEC at other times. You can phone her on 0474 824 060 to make your own arrangements with her. Committee is very appreciative of this offer from Jane and we look forward to welcoming her to our show for the first time.

04.01.2022 To all AMHS Members On Thursday Jan 16, National Committee sent an email to all current financial members via our new Membership Services provider, MemberJungle. To date, our email stats show less than half the emails sent have been opened/read. Possibilities are... Your listed email address is not up to date It has gone to your Junk Mail You have not seen it You have seen it but not opened it. If you are not a current financial member you will not have been sent the email. Communication with ALL our members is a vital necessity for the smooth operation of our society. As members are spread out right across Australia, this service is the network that holds AMHS together as a cohesive, informed group. Your National Committee would be really appreciative if every member could activate their login details and be part of this communication network. If you receive a login email with temporary password, you need to set up your own password within 48 hours, because the temporary one is only good for that long. After that, we have to start again with a new email. Please everyone, make the effort to be part of the email notification service, so we can communicate with you all. If you want the login email resent, or have any questions, please email [email protected] If you include your phone number in the email, we can call you if necessary to answer questions. It is hard to keep track of your requests if you msg different state FB pages or the National FB Page. Only three National Committee members have Admin access to the MemberJungle site, so your requests have to filter their way to one of those three people so we can act on them. The email site is monitored daily. This Member Services Site is a great assett to AMHS. As well as being the Communication medium, the site allows you to do so much more for yourself from your phone or computer which reduces the workload tremendously on the volunteers who make up National Committee. Check out package details - its a very generous offer. All profit is being donated to our National Show Fundraising Campaign. More ticket sales wanted there too.
