Members are advised that due to the current situation and the direction from the Pr...ime Minister for organizers to postpone gatherings of more than 500 people, that the Adelaide Animal Expo will be postponed until later in the year. 20.01.2022 IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO EQUESTRIAN VICTORIA MEMBERS: Good evening, we have been advised that earlier this evening a foreign IP address tried to access the EA memb...ers portal by entering random 7 digit numbers in the "Forgot My Password" page.This generated a number of emails to members corresponding to those membership numbers. This attempted breach was not successful and no personal data was accessed. The originating IP address has since been blocked and an extra layer of security is being added to avoid these types of attempts in future. We apologise for this inconvenience. 16.01.2022 After today’s (25th July) National Meeting the Committee has made a tough decision to cancel all AMPS run events, shows and measuring until further notice for the remainder of 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This decision was not an easy one to make, but due to this pandemic we feel it is the right one as the health & safety of all our members and everyone involved Nationally is our number one priority. Members are encouraged to please continue to send in their memberships, registrations etc. to LBC as we need all your help to keep running Please stay safe everyone and look after your family, friends and of course yourself so we can hopefully all get through this together

15.01.2022 Last night the National Committee held a meeting in regards to the COVID laws and it was decided that we are unable to adhered to the COVIDSafe laws as a society so will not been holding any stand alone AMPS run shows or events for the rest of the 2020 -2021 show season but we can hold a AMPS ring at an Agi / Equine event which is something good for the members each state will have to run under their COVIDSafe rules we also decided that now the COVID restrictions have been ea...sed a little in all states that measuring may now resume. The National Committee would encourage that all measurers adhered to their states COVID laws and take all the precautions that are required whilst trying to keep the 1.5mt distance where possible and if not please wear a mask and make use you use hand wash after each measuring be. Please consider carefully the responsibilities associated with each position before nominating a Member and also ensure that... the Member you nominate is eligible to vote, willing to devote the necessary time and is able to perform the duties required. Showing the... versatility of our little equine friends....! 07.01.2022 Sadly the worst news that I can give in 2021, and I cannot stress that this has been an extremely hard decision for me to make, but I am saddened to advise that... 2021 will be my last year as the NSW State Delegate. I intend to see out my time for the remainder of this financial year, but I have officially giving six month’s notice to both the members and the national committee that I will not be re-standing at the conclusion this time. I have had to make this very hard decision due to increased work commitments and growing family health commitments and I simply will not be able to give my voluntary time like I have been able to moving forward for the society. I do hope that by giving this notice period it gives any of our NSW Members who might want to put their hand up to take on the role of NSW State Delegate time to think if they might like to give it a go, I am more than happy to chat with anyone that might want to give the role a go and aren’t sure what exactly is involved in doing the job or aren’t sure if they think they could do the job. There is a great deal of support from the rest of the national committee who I am sure would be willing to offer assistance that you may need. If you think you might like to nominate yourself for the role of NSW State Delegate official nominations need to be submitted usually the first week in August by financial members. For further details about this you can contact myself or the National Secretary I have thoroughly enjoyed my time over the last couple of years, and I cannot begin to say how hard this decision has been to make, if I knew I could give my time I would continue on that’s for sure. There has been a lot of personally rewarding things I have done during my time. We have seen some really great shows held in NSW with record prizes given away and very well supported events by both our members and seen great sponsors. I have also enjoyed people asking me about our wonderful breed and then taking the leap in purchasing a pony and beginning their journey with our beautiful little equines that we love so dearly; which I will miss the most. You will still see me about at shows with my ponies and I am always be happy to chat with anyone about all things Miniature Ponies. Regards, Michael Towle
05.01.2022 COVID-19 IMPORTANT UPDATE We hope Members are coping with the current restrictions that are in place due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and that they are practising safe distancing and staying safe while protecting themselves and others. AMPS National Committee of Management are aware of the extreme pressure and stress Members are under and will assist in any way that they can; as at times like this we all need to look out for each other. As Members would be aware we h...ave had to put all Shows, promotional events, Meetings etc. on hold for the time being and while we have this downtime it’s a good opportunity to make sure all your Pony paperwork is up to date etc, especially as we have no idea how long we will have to comply with current restrictions. Therefore at the current time with self-distancing and movement restrictions that are still in place, if anyone has any Ponies that need measuring for upgrade or registration, please contact your State Delegate or the National Secretary, to discuss what you need to do. We want to assure Members that they will not be penalized for any late upgrades or registrations due to the current circumstances. Members are also advised that our Registry Office is open for business as usual and so if you have any paperwork that needs processing, you may send it to the office anytime. Due to travel restrictions, National Committee of Management will be holding their next National Committee Meeting via zoom on Saturday 23 May, 2020; therefore if there are any queries Members may have, or topics they would like discussed, please contact the National Secretary by 21 May, 2020 so that they can be included on the Agenda. National Committee of Management, which includes State Delegates, are keeping up to date with the easing of restrictions, which as you are aware are differing from State to State. Therefore State Delegates will keep Members up to date with the position in their State via State websites and/or State Facebook pages and/or via email communication and in addition to this, relevant updates will be posted on the National website. In the meantime, if you have any concerns or queries please contact your State Delegate or the National Secretary. Please take care, stay safe.
