17.01.2022 To all of our Texas Longhorn friends throughout Australia, we would like to let you know that after much thought and consideration we have decided to cancel the 2020 Trails West Texas Longhorn Sale that was scheduled to run at Roma, Queensland on March 28.... It wasn't a decision easily made but we thought in light of the prolonged drought and fires that have affected a large area of the country we would give everyone a little time to take stock and prepare for better times ahead. Even though some areas have received some rain, it does take a while for the land to rejuvenate and recover and let's hope the rain extends to those that still need it desperately. Please feel free to contact any of us if you have any questions or comments about this and don't hesitate to contact us if you are looking to add some quality Texas Longhorns to your herd. We wish you all the very best in health and season for 2020 and we look forward to seeing you at Roma for Trails West 2021. 05.01.2022 With the excitement of our international focused issue coming out this month, and the rapidly approaching ITLA Championship Show and Convention, we are beyond t...hrilled to offer an international show for our worldwide members. All members living outside of the mainland U.S.A. are invited and encouraged to participate in our brand-new show called the International Photo Show. To exhibit cattle in the International Photo Show you must fill out the entry forms, submit your payment, and submit a high-quality photo of your prized Texas Longhorn or Longhorns (enter as many as you want!) preferably in the profile stance. The entry forms will soon be available at www.itla.com! Entry forms, payments, and photos can be emailed to [email protected] or mailed in to P.O. Box 2610 Glen Rose, TX 76043 The show will consist of four tentative classes: Class 1 Jr. Cows Cows one year to three years of age Class 2 Sr. Cows Cows over three years of age Class 3 Jr. Bulls Bulls one year to two years of age Class 4 Sr. Bulls Bulls two years to three years of age The winners will be announced at the Saturday night banquet of the ITLA Championship Show and Convention, as well as in the November issue of the Longhorn Drover. While we highly encourage participants to attend the Championship Show and Convention, it is not required for participation in the show. Awards for each of the class winners and overall champions will be shipped out to the recipients! We look forward to seeing what our International Longhorn community is producing and are excited to host a truly International Texas Longhorn Show. Please share and tag your international Longhorn Friends to spread the word!
