25.01.2022 Typical view out the window today. Forecast totally blue turned into some nice cu around the start. It did go blue out around the first turn but there were wisp...s for almost all the rest of the task. We had a total brain fade today, combined with some flight computer technical issues which meant we came home 16 mins early. Ouch! For the uninformed, when you are set an AAT you must fly at least the required time, or your speed is calculated using that time, rather than your real time, so you lose a heap of speed. We were lucky we had a pretty good day, and still scored more than 900 points. Otherwise it was fun! See more

22.01.2022 On behalf of the Narromine Gliding Club I just wanted to remind everyone who may be interested in competing in the 2018 20m Two Seat Nationals at Narromine. T...he Competition will run from Sunday 11 February to Sunday 18 February inclusive, with onsite registration available from Saturday 10 February 2018. If you haven't entered yet, Get Your Entry In Now before you miss out on a whole lot of fun!! The competition website is here: http://www.narromineglidingclub.com.au//2018%20TwoSeat%20N and contains all the information needed to register and enter the competition. The competition will be run as a single class event for all 20m 2 Seat Class gliders in accordance with the GFA National Competition Rules and will employ the GFA National Ballasted Handicaps. The winning pilots will be awarded the 20m Two Seat Class National Championship trophy and will be eligible for selection for the Australian National Team at the World 20m 2 Seat Championships. Practice Day is Sunday 11 February 2018 with the first Competition Day on Monday 12th February 2018. The Narromine Gliding Club is pleased to welcome all pilots, crew, families and friends to this great event. It has proven to be a challenging event for the competitors and a fun event for everyone. 21.01.2022 I have several important updates on this competition for you regarding: 1) Two Seat Open Class: 2)20m Two Seat Class: 3) Narromine Accommodation: 1) Two Seat Open Class:... At the request of the NCC we will run a Two Seat Open Class Competition alongside the 20m Two Seat comp. This means that ANY Two Seat glider is eligible to compete in this class, we have an entry for a Kookaburra at the moment as well as a Nimbus 3 DM. This is your chance, we will only run this class if there is a minimum of 8 gliders entered and paid. Entries close on 9th February for both classes. 2) 20m Two Seat Class: We already have 8 entries for this class, so the competition WILL DEFINITELY GO AHEAD at Narromine. Conditions at Narromine so far this season have been cracking with climbs to 18.000ft AGL and several 1000k and 750k flights completed so far. 3) Narromine Accommodation: Several houses are for hire for the competition. The Narromine Gliding Club is delighted to have been chosen for the 6th consecutive year to host the Two Seat National Gliding Competition in 2018. The competition will be run from Sunday 11 February 2018 through to Sunday 18 February 2018 inclusive.... The Competition will be specifically for 20m 2 SEAT CLASS gliders only. Winners will receive day prizes and Competition Championship trophies. 17.01.2022 Well the competition flying got underway yesterday (Tuesday 19th) and what a tough day that was! Only one glider made it around the task and home, in fact it was the only glider to even make it to the second turnpoint. Great flying and congratulations to Brad Edwards and Bruce Taylor flying Brad's brand new ASG32 Mi. Looks like the Arcus M finally has some competition!

14.01.2022 Congratulations to David and Lesley Jansen on taking First Place in both the Open and 20m classes. Well done. It was a very closely fought competition with only 107 points between first and third places in 20m and only 103 points separating the top 3 in Open Class.

11.01.2022 Unfortunately the Horsham Flying Club have taken the decision that they are unable to host this year’s 20m Two Seat Nationals. As a result the NCC has requested Narromine Gliding Club to relocate the competition to Narromine. 20m Two Seat Nationals at Narromine The dates remain the same - 16-22 February with a practice day on Saturday 15 February. ... We don't have a lot of time to get a competition up and running but we are confident that we can do it and we want your entries now! In the first instance to register your interest in competing please contact the club via the CONTACT US page at narromineglidingclub.com.au or phone +61 2 6889 5338 or +61 407 459 581. Comp website, online entry form, turn point & airspace files, and local rules should be online by tomorrow. Both of the Narromine Gliding Club Duo Discus are available for hire to approved pilots. The competition will again be run as a single class event for 20m 2 Seat Class gliders. The competition will be run in accordance with the GFA National Competition Rules and will employ the GFA National MultiClass Handicaps. The winning pilots will be awarded the Australian 20m Two Seat Class National Championship trophy and will be eligible for selection for the Australian National Team at the World 20m 2 Seat Championships. The entry fee is $365.00. Aerotows are $55/tow to 2,000ft AGL and are payable in advance ($440). The organisers reserve the right to charge additional tow fees if operationally required.
