15.01.2022 Today staff members from the Islamic Women’s Association of Australia (IWAA) paid us a visit in order to gather women in the community. Due to the heavy restrictions regarding COVID, members of the community were limited in socialising with one another. As restrictions have eased, it gave our organisation, Australian Afghan Hassanian Youth Association along side with IWAA, the opportunity to organise a workshop where men and women had the time to communicate with one another after a long time, have breakfast together and women in the community also participated in Mehndi (Art). Overall, everyone was pleased with the outcome and I would like to thank IWAA for participating with our organisation in order to provide a valuable workshop for the community.
