23.01.2022 RECOGNITION OF SERVICE // CFSM 5WING Wing Commander (AAFC) Greg Nightingale, Officer Commanding of our No. 5Wing (Tasmania) Australian Air Force Cadets, recently presented his staff members with several awards to recognise the achievements of his staff. Notably and the most significant was the award of the Australian Cadet Forces Services Medal (ACFSM), which recognises long and efficient service by officers and instructors in the Australian Defence Force Cadets.... SQNLDR(AAFC) Trevor Owens, No. 5Wing (TAS) Australian Air Force Cadets was awarded a fourth clasp to the Medal, which recognises 35 years of dedicated and efficient service to the Air Force Cadets. SQNLDR(AAFC) Trevor Owens joined the Air Training Corps (now Australian Air Force Cadets) in 1983 after serving as a Cadet. He has held various roles since, including Commanding Officer & Personnel Officer in No. 4Wing (VIC), SOPERS at HQAAFC and more recently as XO & SOMS in No. 5Wing (TAS). 14.01.2022 TAKING ON MEN'S HEALTH // 4WING MOVEMBER SUPPORTERS Staff members of our No. 4WG Australian Air Force Cadets (VIC) family took part in fundraising efforts for Movember Australia during the month of November. They proudly grew their impressive "staches" to raise money, make a difference in mental health & suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer. They joined a community of people where donations could help save a father, a brother, a son, a friend, a partner -... a man’s life. After 23 days our awesome team raised $805.00 - thank you to all our superstars who have participated in MOVEMBER! To DONATE, visit 4WG Australian Air Force Cadets and follow the links.
