Have our schools prepared them for social responsibility and meaningful contributions to culture as well as academic success and career pathways? Discover the insights the Report reveals about our millennial graduates and the type of adults they’ve become. 21.01.2022 In honour of R U OK Day today, one of the events in the Oxley Olympics is the Kindness Project. This event encourages Senior School students to do something pos...itive for someone in the community. Students have risen to the occasion and we have seen many displays of kindness through creative acts, including cooking meals and putting together care packages for elderly neighbours and friends, writing letters of encouragement, and connecting with friends. Also, one Junior School student made 100 origami hearts, each with a handwritten note of thanks on the back, to give to very appreciative healthcare workers at St Vincent's Hospital! #ruokday #kindness

13.01.2022 Flashback Friday! Today we feature Orange Christian School which started in 1981 with one teacher and 17 students. The school started out of a passionate commitment to the belief that parent partnership in education is an essential ingredient in excellent Christian education. The school now has around 370 students from Prep to Year 12 and their motto is: 'To raise effective leaders of godly character, who will blend academics with biblical truth, to influence society for the glory of God.' Amen.

05.01.2022 The proposed changes to the Equal Opportunity Act 2010 announced by the Andrews Government yesterday will have a huge impact on the staffing model of Christian schools in Victoria and will fundamentally change the nature of Christian schools forever. Under the proposed changes, religious organisations and schools will only be able to employ people of faith where the Government decides that religious beliefs are critical to the job. For our schools to effectively fulfil their mission and ethos, it is crucial that all staff employed share the values and beliefs of the school. https://www.aacs.net.au/victorian-christian-schools-under-t #religiousfreedom #christianschools
