Today the project team reconvened as we prepare for a major update and media event in February 2020. The board would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Tourism Western Australia and Tourism Council Western Australia for the outstanding results achieved with regards to Interstate and International visitation in the September quarter of 2019. Increased funding comprising of $9Mil of additional funds provided by the WA State Government has allowed for additional marketing and the results speak clearly for themselves. 11.01.2022 The Australian Biome Project consultants working under Universal Network Services are actively working to bring Hydrogen technology to WA with our part in the Hydrogen Highway working group and active members of Hydrogen Society of Australia. Shortly the Australian Biome will be announcing our intentions to utilise Hydrogen Energy for our power. What is hydrogen energy?... Hydrogen is the most common chemical in the universe. It can be produced as a gas or liquid, or made part of other materials, and has many uses such as fuel for transport or heating, a way to store electricity, or a raw material in industrial processes. When it is produced using renewable energy or processes, hydrogen becomes a way of storing renewable energy for use at a later time when it is needed. Hydrogen energy can be stored as a gas and even delivered through existing natural gas pipelines. When converted to a liquid or another suitable material, hydrogen can also be transported on trucks and in ships. This means hydrogen can also be exported overseas, effectively making it a tradable energy commodity. Hydrogen in Australia Like the rest of the world, the main use of hydrogen in Australia is as a raw material for industrial processes. Renewable hydrogen use in Australia would help us to reduce emissions in those high-temperature industries as well as some transport sectors. Several scientific and government reports have also found that hydrogen produced in Australia could be sold to the world. One report produced for us, Opportunities for Australia from Hydrogen Exports, calculated that global demand for hydrogen exported from Australia could be over three million tonnes each year by 2040, which could be worth up to $10 billion each year to the economy by that time. #justimagine #inspiringchange #hydrogen https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2g_h5gHhbrk&feature=youtu.be
