25.01.2022 Stephen has been busy cutting rock. Will have new rocks on the shelves by the weekend.

25.01.2022 Twin Trunk Celtis starting to shoot.

24.01.2022 The pines we repotted are looking good as is the Japanese Box. You can also see some large Corky Bark Elms in the second picture

24.01.2022 Before and after trim on old Lavender Star. I really should have paid attention to this tree sooner. I have 3 more in the same condition.

23.01.2022 Stephen next swamp cypress ready to trim and root prune. I think the swamp cypress stock trees are next on his list.

22.01.2022 I’ve trimmed some of our figs and Stephen repotted into bonsai pots. All of our trees are just loving this weather.

21.01.2022 We have a new load of pots in ready for the weekend.

21.01.2022 Sometimes its hard to find anything in a old stock tree. Lavender Star before and after.

21.01.2022 Well done Greg. Greg is putting the main Wisteria into the ground. So glad it has a home as it is about 27 years old. There are also some smaller trunks that Greg is planting into bonsai pots.

21.01.2022 Stephen working on some of our mid range Celtis. Once trimmed he will root prune and repot into 16 pots.

21.01.2022 Some more Celtis needing trims. This year they are going to be left to grow and put on some vigorous. The first tree is in a grow on pot and has been trimmed and potted recently. The second tree has not been trimmed this season. The third Celtis was trimmed, root pruned early spring.

20.01.2022 The soil from our root pruning, and I found two more pines to do.

19.01.2022 Looks like we will be back to normal hours from Tuesday. Stephen has been busy repotting to keep the follow on stock going. I will keep you up to date, but for now all look good. Stay safe.

19.01.2022 Trim and clean out of our 3 tubes of Japanese Box. These little trees are actually 15 years old.

19.01.2022 You can just see the first buds of spring on these Celtis.

19.01.2022 Just enjoying a quite morning in the nursery, noticed this Buxus Harlandii.

18.01.2022 My new succulent settings in the first photo. As you can see it will be awhile before they look like the settings in the following two photoes

18.01.2022 I only have limited stock of these Succulent I prepared for my own settings and under planting. As I am not doing any new setting this year, I will be selling this stock. So if you like to work with succulents this stock makes great cuttings for smaller settings.

18.01.2022 The Corky bark elms we planted around the dam May 2019 didnt go as well as planned. I told Stephen to plant with more advanced stock. We really need rain again! The dam is empty once more.

18.01.2022 Some of our maples in 16 pots and root pruned in blue tubs.

18.01.2022 They all look so relaxed.

17.01.2022 Love these colours.

17.01.2022 These little guys are everywhere. This one was hiding under my towel.

17.01.2022 Stephen is happy cutting rock.

17.01.2022 Getting close to Christmas now. The Two weeks before Christmas from the 14 December right up to and including Christmas Eve we will be open everyday from 9am to 4pm. We are packed full of pre bonsai stock, completed bonsai and Accessories. From small to large pieces of pre bonsai stock. Small through large completed Bonsai at varying stages of training.

17.01.2022 Two stock trees I found while taking a stroll through the nursery. The Japanese Box is one we dug out of a hedge 30 or so years ago. The hedge was 20 years at that time.

15.01.2022 Had some plans. But my clumsy puppy put a stop to that. I now have a broken right elbow and I move for a minute and Agnes takes my spot. Was looking forward to using succulent stock to under plant in my rock bouquet and spring trimming out course. Agnes will not leave my side and I know there is a lesson in this.

15.01.2022 Before and after removal of old flowers.

15.01.2022 Time to choose new bonsai for our centre garden.

15.01.2022 Not really sure how Stephen manages to keep the stock flowing for the future, but he does. The last photo is the Japanese Maple we brought bare rooted. Stephen would have potted these up about 2 months ago. Love the foliage.

15.01.2022 What a difference a few days make in Spring.

14.01.2022 Cleaned the first two Buxus Harlandii of flower buds. As you can see from the last photo the flowers were plentiful.

14.01.2022 Love my work spot under the clerodendrum, nice and cool even in this hot weather.

13.01.2022 Stephen and myself wanted to let you know our nursery will be closed from now until Tuesday as is the advice from health authorities regarding the recent COVID-19 outbreak. We will post any changes as soon as we know. Most importantly we hope you all stay safe and well. We are looking forward to taking this time to play with our bonsai and stock trees. Will keep you posted.

12.01.2022 Love this rain. Everything is so green

11.01.2022 Willow Leaf figs trimmed about 2 weeks ago.

11.01.2022 Potting up our swamp cypress. Its always surprising what you find when you dig around the base of the trunk.

11.01.2022 This Celtis is growing fast.

11.01.2022 Having my morning coffee and look what I found. Think I might look at styling this Juniper Squmata.

10.01.2022 Spring is here and there is plenty of trimming. Four of our Celtis.

10.01.2022 This was the first Wisteria which we gave away.

10.01.2022 Figs love this time of year. Willow Leaf would be my favourite today.

10.01.2022 Just letting everyone know our opening hours before Christmas. We will be open from Monday 14 December up to and including the 24. Hours will be from 9am to 4pm everyday except Sunday which will be 10am to 3pm.

08.01.2022 Green Island stock tree. Cleaned it up with a slight trim to see what it looks like under all that growth. Before and after of 2 sides of this tree.

08.01.2022 Two Swamp Cypress that have just been root pruned

08.01.2022 We also have completed succulent settings on rock as well as in pots. This year I have stock pot succulents, a large range of cut and uncut rocks and bonsai pots so you can create your own. They make beautiful gifts and unlike flowers with a little care these bouquets will live on.

07.01.2022 The Japanese Box we grew from cuttings 15 years ago are now all potted into 6 pots.

07.01.2022 These Japanese Maples were root pruned June 2019. They have had a trim about June this year and are just budding. A close look of the Corky Bark Elms trimmed and root pruned Early June this year and are also budding.

06.01.2022 Celtis recently trimmed. They are growing so quickly at present. We have been dunking all our bonsai, but check out the one we missed in second photo.

06.01.2022 This is a call out to Bob Hinch. Sorry Bob, Stephen was supposed to phone you, but I lost your number. Stephen has some information regarding your native bees if you would like to call again.

06.01.2022 Well Greg decided to take the offer of the Wisteria. He even brought he coffee. Coffee is good in any situation. Will keep you up to date.

05.01.2022 Never tire of my work areas.

05.01.2022 Colours of Spring. The pots of succulents are some of the succulents I started during lockdown.

04.01.2022 Stephens next project. A reminder that the price of wire will rise on the first of September.

04.01.2022 Our soil left over from all our repotting.

04.01.2022 My wisteria which I must admit Ive never styled. But every year I enjoy the flowers. Oh and my favourite piece of rock behind it.

03.01.2022 Opening tomorrow with Stephen giving these chilli tubes ( short and fat, plus long and skinny). Stephen says both types are medium heat.

02.01.2022 We have one last Wisteria which we are giving away. There is a catch however, you have to dig it out. We have dug some out and it is not a hard dig. Photos below. Please pm if interested.

01.01.2022 Everything look beautiful at this time of year even wth the August winds.
