20.01.2022 Nerdy EOFY Feels :) :)

18.01.2022 Currently, unexpectedly, "stuck" between meetings for an hour or so. In the words of Ferris Bueller "Life moves pretty fast, if you dont stop and take a look around once in a while, you could miss it" #godscountry #perth

17.01.2022 Its bookkeeping, but not as we know it. #truestory

17.01.2022 Perhaps this is your year to focus on your core business, instead of being pulled in all the directions that business can take us. Being a Jack of all Trades involves wearing many hats such as marketing, HR, recruitment, training and that doesn't include the product/service development of your actual business. A BAS Agent/Bookkeeper can help with not just the office tasks, but some of the following too:... -Selection and implementation of software to improve your business -Correctly recording GST and BAS submissions -Payroll, superannuation and PAYG -Transaction processing and bank Reconciliations -Management of Accounts Receivable and Payable -Help with cash flow projections, so you'll know where you stand and what needs to happen to make sure you have abundant, consistent cash flow -Financial performance management to help you manage your costs and focus your efforts on money making activities Now, wouldn't that free up some of your time and (more importantly) your head space? What about the cost though? Well what about the opportunity cost of you not having your eye on the main game because you're distracted with the accounts? If done right (and I will make sure it's done right), it should be an investment in your business, not just a cost. You know where you want to be. Let me clarify where your finances are and give you regular reports to keep you on track. I love talking to business owners. Call me or message me today to chat about any needs you have in this area.

16.01.2022 From this month, Hubdoc is included with your Xero subscription. It's a great time to be alive! Seriously though, if you aren't using Hubdoc, we need to talk, it's a game changer!

16.01.2022 This is a great app for business owners who need help with collection of debts. Only 99 cents, this week only. https://www.facebook.com/226818847466317/posts/1352290548252469/

13.01.2022 Pheweee What a crazy couple of weeks! Another BAS quarter done and dusted. So many interesting business models and amazing clients that I work with. From bobcats to hair and beauty and many in between. I love my job!

11.01.2022 Old school marketing dogwalk style. I like to call it multiple bottom lining. Lol. Exercise, sunshine, business, happy dog. I met so many great local business owners today. Got a few leads (excuse the pun) and a new client. Marketing is something I don't like to outsource because my business is ME and I love talking to business owners. My cleaning on the other hand...outsource please! How about YOUR bookkeeping..do you love it? Is it your core business? Make time for what you love and outsource the rest.

11.01.2022 I'm thrilled to announce that I can now add "Qualified BAS Agent" to my suite of services. This involved verification of substantial and relevant work experience, a Cert IV Accounting/Bookkeeping qualification or above (I have a Bachelor of Commerce), completion of a nationally recognised BAS Agent course involving payroll and GST Law (where I obtained distinctions and high distinctions in every assessment) and Public Indemnity Insurance. It was all submitted and approved by the Australian Government Tax Practitioners Board this afternoon. Should you have any BAS, Bookkeeping or Payroll work that you need done, or any questions at all about these areas, please don't hesitate to contact me.

08.01.2022 #EOFYCHECKLIST Busy Busy Busy! Here is a *very* brief EOFY checklist of things you will need to verify/reconcile prior to submitting info to your Tax Accountant: -Balance your accounts such as Wages payable, Super Payable, inter-loans etc. to make sure it balances with what you have paid out -Verify actual bank balances at the start of the financial year and the end and make sure this equals what your accounting package is showing -Finalise your Q4 super obligations -Complete... Payroll summaries and issue to both your employees and the ATO -Complete your Business Activity Statement for Q4 -A summary of income and expenses in a profit and loss statement -Conducting a stocktake. See the Stocktakes page on the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) website to learn more about stocktakes and tax -*Verified* summaries of your record of debtors (who owes you) and creditors (who you owe - ask your suppliers for Statements to verify what is owed) -collating records of asset purchases or expenditure on improvements to calculate depreciation expense claims and for capital gains tax purposes -lodging yearly reports or returns for PAYG withholding, fringe benefits tax (FBT), Goods and Services Tax (GST), and the taxable payments reporting system -completing and lodging your income tax returns It's not always fun, but it needs to get done! Any help needed, please get in touch (I'm.a Bookkeeper/BAS Agent) :) See more

06.01.2022 Is this recovery program targeted at Bookkepers and Accountants? A good lesson in proofreading! Incorrect spelling subtracts from the main issue #badjokegroan #AddiCtion

06.01.2022 #Hubdoc where have you been all of my life? That's what you will say when you understand and use all of it's benefits. What is it? 05.01.2022 Great news! The $20k instant asset write off for businesses has been extended to

04.01.2022 It's BAS time! I know, Im excited too! Are you one of those business owners who rushes around trying to find receipts, calculate income, reconcile your bank accounts and just generally panic the month when your BAS is due? It doesn't have to be that way! My clients know by the first week in January (once the Dec quarter has finished) how much their PAYG and GST obligations will be, even though they don't need to pay it until the end of Feb. ... This gives them plenty of advance notice and they feel calmer and more in control knowing where they're at and what's ahead. Do yourself a favour and get out of "last-minute-mode". Leave that option for your competitors, while you have free time to focus on being the best at what you do. Save your time and your head space. Get in touch today, you'll be so glad you did.

03.01.2022 My uncle was driving that boat when this amazing photo was taken and it made front page news in Sydney. Isn't it just sensational? He was telling me that the funny thing was if you zoom in, you can see all the people in the boat are actually looking at another whale to the right of the boat. This mega mammal "snuck" up unnoticed. Isn't life like that? We can be so intensely focussed on one thing that we miss the big things, both good and bad.... I thought it was a great lesson, for life and in business. I guess the more people on the lookout the better? Nice story but of course it has to link back to bookkeeping, right? A bookkeeper is another unbiased eye, keeping a look out for things while you focus on steering and driving your (business) boat. We find all sorts of treasures and dangers and are a great support crew. Sorrynotsorry for the corny post. Have a whale of a time over the Christmas break. OopsIdiditagain.
