19.01.2022 ACC BRANCH MUSTER REPORTS BRANCH: Western Wallabies DATE: 12/11/2020... VENUE:Gracetown caravan park NUMBER OF MEMBER UNITS IN ATTENDANCE: 16 NUMBER OF GUEST UNITS IN ATTENDANCE: 2 ACTIVITIES ON MUSTER: It was another great turnout for the end of year Muster at Gracetown. tranquil and picturesque with gum trees and bushland interspersed between the campsites and with abounding bird & wildlife including the not so wildlife (chickens) wandering about the place. The group were all pretty upbeat, despite the threatening weather, and while we made provision for shelter, there were only a couple of occasions when we needed it. Friday Tappas and our shared meal Saturday (Christmas fare with all the trimmings) went extremely well despite a little inclement weather. The Christmas Turkey officiated at the Mega Raffle with just about everyone getting a prize. The highlight of the evening was the local presentation of an ACC Service Award to Vicki Dempster for outstanding service to the Western Wallabies Branch. Congratulations Vicki, it is well deserved. Part of the accommodation package included a free bottle of Margaret River wine which a lot of members took up at the Vineyard. Being Margaret river there were no shortage of wineries to visit. The eating out scene and beaches arent too shabby either. There were a few games of Cornhole and lots of laughs, all with Covid restrictions in mind. Our thoughts are with our not so fortunate neighbours in SA & Vic who are doing it hard. There is something to be said for the hard line our premier took, as we did do it hard initially, but now we are reaping the benefits.
