21.01.2022 Today is World Day of the Poor. This year's theme is Stretch forth your hand to the poor (Sir 7:32)" 'Prayer to God and solidarity with the poor and suffering are inseparable. In order to perform an act of worship acceptable to the Lord, we have to recognize that each person, even the poorest and most contemptible, is made in the image of God ... Time devoted to prayer can never become an alibi for neglecting our neighbour in need. 20.01.2022 Today is the 19th Sunday in Ordinary Time: https://bit.ly/ACBC_19thSunday Today, Jesus walks on water towards his disciples, who are trapped in the wind and waves. 18.01.2022 In June, the National Centre for Pastoral Research published social profiles on almost 1300 Catholic parishes across Australia. 18.01.2022 Today is Social Justice Sunday. Read the Social Justice Statement "To Live Life to the Full: Mental health in Australia today": https://bit.ly/SocialJustice_2020 The Bishops observe that our society tends to draw away from, or to push away, those who confront us with our frailties and limitations which is completely at odds with the story of Jesus who takes on the frailty of the human condition and draws near to those who are sick or who have disabilities, those who are marginalized or despised. People living with mental ill-health are part of the Body of Christ us and not them and share equally in Jesus promise of the fullness of life (Jn 10:10).

18.01.2022 Today is the 22nd Sunday in Ordinary Time: https://bit.ly/ACBC_22ndSunday "Paul speaks of letting ourselves be shaped by Gods view, not by the mindset of our age. Gods vision, given to us in Jesus, unites us in peace with God." Access online masses here: https://bit.ly/ACBC_PrayAtHome
