20.01.2022 Diploma of Teacher Education Preparation: a VET pathway into a teaching qualification Successful completion of the Diploma of Teacher Education Preparation (Dip TEP) supports students to gain entry to and successfully undertake an undergraduate teacher education course. The Dip TEP is an accredited AQF5 level 5 qualification suitable for students from culturally diverse backgrounds, students with ATAR less than 70, VTAC students, and mature career changers. Since its commence...ment in 2018, enrolments in the Dip TEP has been steadily increasing, with over 200 students participating in 2020. The Dip TEP is a one-year diploma made up of 12 units - 9 core and 3 electives, and includes school placements for students. Students report that they are equipped with the knowledge to proceed to teacher education courses and have positive impressions of the course. Currently, the course is being delivered by three providers: Victoria University Polytechnic - https://www.vu.edu.au//diploma-of-teacher-education-prepar RMIT - http://www1.rmit.edu.au//diploma-of-teacher-education-prep Swinburne University - https://www.swinburne.edu.au//Diploma-of-Teacher-Edu/local
