18.01.2022 Hi Chocoholics Yes we are still here. The weather over the last year, drought then heavy rain knocks the cocoa trees around a bit but it's all good. There are new buds and flowers Time for A good tree trim in the off season. Trees go dormant this time of year but always work to be done. Stay tuned... We still have the dream See more
17.01.2022 With some heavy pruning done around 6 months ago the trees have responded well, and are showing great results with good yields...

16.01.2022 Morning Collins Constructions did a site visit and we have marked out where the building is going to be. We have changed from two buildings back to one so everything is under the one roof. They start building next month
15.01.2022 Hello chocoholics Slow start to the season we think the torrential rains back in March had an effect. Like we had 670 mls in 24hrs. Great crop last two weeks though. Went to an excellent training session last week on marketing/advertising put on free by the local newspaper the presenter was Damian Morgan. Took heaps of ideas away from that. Now working on A business plan and business mentoring sessions in Cairns through the govt M4G program... Mentors for growth Ah so much to do. Waiting for the building company to do A site inspection and see what earthworks are likely to cost??? And the weather has been stunning See more
14.01.2022 Happy New Year Chocolate Lovers We are hoping 2018 is the year we can launch onto the public market. We have paid a few thousand for a plumbing application(tick that one off) contract signed for 3 phase power to be connected.(tick) Still waiting on quotes but things happen very slowly here in the tropical north . We have our dream firmly in our sights.Bit of a rollercoaster ride... If you've never undertaken this journey of building a business from scratch ,including literally THE buidings it is quite the learning curve requiring lots of patience and money. It is nearly end of harvesting season. We didn't pick for a few weeks over the xmas break might just get one or two more small harvest's in then the trees go dormant till about July. looking forward to a positive year at The Australian Chocolate Farm. cheers Darryl and Jenny See more

10.01.2022 hello fellow Chocolatiers. yes we are still here and chipping away at our dream of setting up a tourist attraction. So many mountains to climb along the way. Pl...umbing application, electricity application, quotes for buildings, energy report and the list goes on. It is quite the process but we keep chipping away at it whilst still working and harvesting weekly. Trees are looking really good after a very dry winter we have recently had lots of soaking rain . Have a great day See more
