23.01.2022 Hi everyone, this is Sarasvati, here I am with my ‘baby’ (with moveable ams and legs) so that we can practice some mother and baby yoga together in this Saturday's workshop. I’m excited that we have a couple of live babies joining us (made easier as it is on line) and I look forward to seeing you on zoom on Saturday. Please bring your ‘baby’ too! (Zoom link for those registered will be emailed later in the week)

23.01.2022 Back at the Studio for our Supported Restorative class on Sunday. Bookings required.

23.01.2022 Yogis if there is one practice that the worlds needs right now it is deeply restorative yoga to reduce anxiety, reduce the stress response and bring peace and calmness and the parasympathetic nervous system response. There is NOONE who doesn't need supported restorative yoga. This workshop is for you if you are a yoga teacher and want to explore how to teach these supported poses and you also get to experience them for yourself. During the day you alternate with different ...partners being the teacher and the student. You finish up having set up a variety of different bodies for a number of restorative poses and also experiencing them for yourself. We explore the logic behind the various poses too and you get a workbook with photos to take home. What's not to love, you will get some highly useful skills improving your capacity as a yoga teacher AND feel fabulous afterwards. And you get 5.5 CPD points too. Numbers are limited due to the number of props we use. Book ASAP with Robert 9833 4050 or [email protected]

23.01.2022 End of year 2019 - coming to meditation? Would love to sit with you... or share breakfast on Sunday Mataji

23.01.2022 What's good about meditation? Sometimes mental chatter can fill a whole hour of mediation. What's the point of it? Well... lots. Even in a chattery meditation..., how do you KNOW that the mind is chattering? Seems to be two different things, the chatter and the awareness of the mind chattering. But that awareness is not the chattering! When self-identity shifts to that quiet awareness rather than identifying with all the thoughts of the mind, there is something different about experience. And it is a kindly and wise experience. That's what's good about meditation :) Love, Mataji

22.01.2022 Today’s teacher training (on zoom) was all about inversions. Do you think that means headstands, shoulder stands and handstands? Well yes it does, but there are lots of other (and often safer) ways of getting the benefits of upside down poses. Here’s what the group come up with ... and as the day went on we discovered even more. We as kdd ssd o talked about cautions, safety, what is happening anatomically and lots more ... fun!

21.01.2022 Hi everyone, if you are considering doing this workshop please let us know ASAP as we will post you the information-packed workbook in advance, a lovely keepsake that you will continue to refer back to. Enrolments finish this Friday at the LATEST, thanks.

16.01.2022 Unusual - I'm scheduling another Learn Still-mind and Meditation from October 28 to 2nd December. Would love it if you would let others know... state barriers not a problem -all online! Will be Victorian daylight saving period, though

16.01.2022 Do you love the way that you feel connected, grounded and centred and also free in your body and mind when you practice yoga? Are you ready to take it a bit further and do your yoga teacher training, which not only will be really beneficial for your journey but means that you can also share yoga, take this wonderful practice out into the world. This is Sarasvati and I know back in 2001 when I enrolled in Yoga Teacher training with the Australian College of Classical Yoga that... was exactly what I was feeling. I was wanting to keep that ‘yoga’ feeling for longer and also wanting to share the wonderful practices of yoga and of course for me personally the journey has continued on and on. I remember what that was like and I do know that enrolling in teacher training was for me such a beneficial thing and if the time is right for you, and I have to say it never feels exactly right, but at least if it is near enough to right then this is something that you might consider because if not now, then when? Admittedly I remember it was a scary step to take, a return to study and a bit of a dive into the unknown. But it was SO worth it. Training starts the first Saturday in February, coming up very soon, so if this is for you then now is the time to enrol. Personally I can’t wait to share the journey of yoga with you in this more profound way along with Danni and the other teachers on our training faculty. Download the information booklet (the red picture), and fill in the application form at the end. Do get in touch with me or Danni or Rob if you have any questions or go ahead and enrol now! https://classicalyoga.com.au/yoga-teacher-training/ See more

16.01.2022 Now more than ever might be a great time to learn how to be easy with life and to still the mind! Online via Zoom

16.01.2022 NAMASTE ! Much better than an elbow bump or a foot shake, don't you think? Maybe not as good as a hug, but I guess we're not doing that for a while. It literall...y means, Bow to you! Not really all the other sweet things that have attached to it, like "my heart meets your heart", nor "the divine in me greets the divine in you". It just means I bow to you, or I honour you. And even that is a slight alteration of the original. What does it mean to a native speaker? Why, it means "Namaste", of course, heheh.

15.01.2022 Do you want to share the wonderful practice of Yoga? Is it time to do you yoga teacher training? NOW is the time to enrol and you can find out much more on the website https://classicalyoga.com.au/yoga-teacher-training/

15.01.2022 Start your journey towards Stillness. Coming up on Wednesday!

14.01.2022 Now more than ever might be a great time to learn how to be easy with life and to still the mind! Choose from morning or afternoon face-to-face classes, or online via Zoom

13.01.2022 Happy New Year Yogis! Remember, if life gives you lemons this year, feed it to a toddler and film it!

12.01.2022 This Yoga Teacher Workshop coming up soon. See Sarasvati's video in discussion area for more info.

11.01.2022 Hi Yoga teachers, is teaching yoga to mums and their bubs something you would like to do? It is such a beneficial offering to have in your toolkit, as new mums really benefit from yoga and their bubs get benefits too. While you are at home, learn how to safely and effectively teach mother and baby yoga. Then you can either incorporate it into family classes or private sessions or of course offer group mum and bub classes either in person (when we get back to that) or this len...ds itself to online classes too. (Can you imagine how much easier it would be for the mums to just do yoga at home and not have to pack up everything to get to class with a new bub?) In this one day workshop we explore how to safely offer yoga that takes into account the big changes the mother has experienced and also looks at the stages of the growing baby. Then we put it all together to create fun and engaging classes. We also explore how to manage if a baby is upset or crying in class and some of the other issues they may be experiencing. Bring along your 'baby' for the session.

10.01.2022 What is it that excites you the most about teaching Yoga? What is it that scares you the most? The kind of teacher you will be lies somewhere in the middle. ...Do you love the idea of sharing mindfulness and stillness but are scared of babbling and sounding foolish? You will grow to be a teacher who develops the profound depth of mindfulness and meditation who has learned to communicate with precision and clarity. Are you excited about teaching a variety of postures but are scared of doing the wrong thing and injuring people? You will explore your own body's systems and learn deeper anatomy to guide people safely and confidently into postures that are right for their body. Your passion leads you in the direction you love, while your fears lead you to strengthen your knowledge, your character, and your practice. Embrace your passion, and embrace your fears, because your path lies in between the two. Photo by Krzysztof Kowalik on Unsplash
