13.01.2022 We are happy to announce something that we have wanted to do since the very beginning of ADC to you all! From the beginning, we have wanted to bring something epic to Australia and provide as much opportunity as we could to Aussie dancers in a setting that is open and inviting and we hope that anyone that has attended the event in the past has taken a lot from it. ADC is about connecting and working on ourselves and dance is just the tool we use to do that and the energy that... everyone has brought to the camp has been nothing short of electric. It is truely a proud moment when we can watch transformations happen in such a short time and continue in people once they return to their own communities. So where are we going with this? We want to announce that we will be issuing a Scholarship opportunity to someone at the 2020 camp but the way of obtaining the scholarship will be a little different. So often we are so fixated on self that we forget to look up and notice the people around us and observe the life they are living and the struggles they may be going through, so want to take this as an opportunity to encourage people to do just that. The scholarship is nomination based, but not for yourself, we want you to nominate someone else, tell us all about them and why you think they’re deserving, why they’re special to you and what they do for others, how they contribute to the their community, all of it! This scholarship is also designed for someone that may be experiencing a bit of financial difficulty for any number of reasons because we would hate for someone to miss out on the camp experience due to this reason. One important thing to note is that we will not be announcing the recipient publicly, we will only be telling that individual unless they would like us to make it public. So how can you nominate someone? You will need to copy and paste and answer these four questions and email them to us at [email protected] 1. Who would you like to nominate? (please also provide an instagram username if possible) 2. Your relationship to this person? 3. Why do you think they are deserving of this scholarship opportunity? 4. What do you love about this person? As much as this post is to award a scholarship, please use this as a time to reflect on all the great people you have in your life. We are so excited to read everyones stories. The cut of date for submissions will be Midnight on the 4th of October!
