17.01.2022 I would like to thank everyone for all the kind messages and comments that have been posted on social media and the many emails and personal messages received regarding my decision to close the Australian Dance Review. It is truly humbling to read how much the magazine has meant to so many people over the past 37 years. Thank you all.

12.01.2022 It is with heartfelt sadness that after 37 years I have had to make the difficult decision to cease production of the Australian Dance Review effective immediately. This decision was made due to on-going health issues that I have had over the last two years that has made it impossible for me to continue with the magazine. I close this magazine with the knowledge that I have been able to bring so much history and news on dance in this country over these many years. I have fe...atured many of the greats that have graced our ballrooms throughout Australia and assisted them with their wonderful careers. The people to thank over 37 years as you would appreciate are far too many to acknowledge and I would hate to miss one out, you all know who you are and the Dance Review and dancesport owe you a debt of gratitude for your contribution over these many years, however there are some people I do need to acknowledge they are, in no order: Robert Steele Federal Association of Teachers of Dance Margaret Lonsdale Australian Dancing Society Mark Gadsden photographer extraordinaire (Plus, all our wonderful photographers nationwide). Dallas Williams Dancesport Australia and Dance Review webmaster Dot Gonsal Dottie’s Diary one of our original contributors for over 20 years. Ray Rivers international Roving Reporter Neil Rosenfeld Victorian correspondent Barrie Marr for the history he has supplied to me I intend doing posts on our social media site where this information will be invaluable The fabulous subscribers and advertisers over the years for their continued support And finally, our original editors Peter & Roslyn Smith As I said there are many, many more that I have to thank for the success of the ADR. 03.01.2022 Here we go with another article from the Australian written by Gary Soderlund. Well another Australian Championships have come and gone. A huge congratulations to the ADS organising team on a great event. I love the new venue. A much better fit for our premier event on the dancing calendar.
