24.01.2022 Sadly we were not able to hold the second of our Championship events today - The Premiere Championship - at the Moonee Valley Racing Club in Melbourne so instead let's take a look back at some of the events from 2019, starting off with some of the Teacher/Students events - We cannot wait to get back to dancing and competitions again, and look forward to a bigger & better Covid free 2021!

24.01.2022 VALE - SHIRLEY LIN Unfortunately one of our long term supporters of the Australian Dancing Society has recently passed away, on Friday 13th November. SHIRLEY LIN was a recipient of the 2018 Brolga award for her services to the dancing industry and was not only a great supporter of dance, but pivotal in our dealings with one of our major sponsors and long term supporters, Sofitel Group-Accor. We would like to offer our condolences to Shirleys family and friends and sincerely thank her for support of not only the Australian Dancing Society, but the dancesport industry. RIP Shirley.

11.01.2022 We know Melbourne is the 'taboo' State at the moment but the ADS is very much looking forward to getting back to providing the dancers of Australia with fantastic events in Melbourne in 2021! The Southern Cross Championship is certainly a highlight of the Melbourne dancing calendar and is held at the glamorous Sofitel on Collins right in the centre of the city. Take a look back at our finalists in the 2019 event! Looking forward to 2021 and having everyone join us in "Covid-free" Melbourne!

These payments must be paid on time of entering. If you don't pay your entry is not valid. All competitors entry fees include door admission. 04.01.2022 The ADS in NSW would like to advise that they have now changed the date of the NSW State Superstar Spectacular to Sunday 28th February 2021 at Marrickville Town... Hall. This move has been made to accomodate the current government restrictions in place in NSW for indoor sports. We all look forward to a return to a "new normal" way for our competition scene to return to as soon as safely possible. 03.01.2022 Very excited that our Victorian metropolitan dance schools are able to open tomorrow, albeit with restrictions on numbers and conditions! The Australian Dancing Society would like to wish all Studio proprietors and their teachers the very best of luck with your re-opening and we urge all dancers to help your Studio crawl back to some sort of normality by getting back into the Studio and support them through what can only be described as a "fragile time". We look forward to our events in 2021 with our first State Super Stars event scheduled for Sunday 07th March!
