24.01.2022 Today we remember Warrant Officer Class 2 David Nary. Warrant Officer Nary, a member of the Special Air Service Regiment, died on 6 November 2005 from injuries he received in a training exercise while preparing for operational deployments in the Middle East. Warrant Officer Nary was a very popular soldier with a wealth of special forces experience. He enlisted in the Australian Army in 1981, serving as an infantry soldier in 8/9 Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment and 11/28... Royal Western Australian Regiment prior to joining the Special Air Service Regiment in 1989. Warrant Officer Nary served Australia on operations in the Sinai, East Timor and Afghanistan. His experience, leadership and significant achievements within the Special Air Service Regiment were recognised in January 2005 when he was promoted to Warrant Officer Class 2. LEST WE FORGET

21.01.2022 Today we remember Private Luke Worsley. Private Worsley was killed in an engagement with insurgents during his second tour of duty of Afghanistan on the 23 November 2007. He also served in East Timor in 2003 with the 1st Battalion Royal Australian Regiment and later qualified as a commando in 2004. LEST WE FORGET

17.01.2022 Flight Lieutenant Benedict Eggs Farrell joined the Royal Australian Air Force in 2015, going into RAAF Intelligence. He transferred to Logistics in 2018, and has gone to Darwin, Japan, Guam and Las Vegas on various military exercises. He is currently in the Middle East on Operation Accordion with the Air Task Group, as the officer in command of Logistics Operations. 10.01.2022 Sergeant Phillip Condoleon is currently serving in the Australian Army in the 1st Psychology Unit. He enlisted in the Royal Australian Infantry in 1994 as a reservist and became full-time in 1999. Phillip deployed to Timor in 2000 as a rifleman. He spent time as a Linguist, including a deployment to Indonesia after the 2004 Boxing Day Tsunami. In 2008, he became an Examiner Psychological, and was recently deployed to the Middle East with Joint Task Force 633 in this capacity. 09.01.2022 Major General Susan Coyle has handed command of Australian forces in the Middle East to Rear Admiral Michael Rothwell, during a transfer ceremony at Australia's... main operating base. As Commander of Joint Task Force 633, Rear Admiral Rothwell will be responsible for command and control of all #YourADF operations in the Middle East region, including oversight of nearly 900 Defence personnel. 01.01.2022 Today we remember Captain Bryce Duffy, Corporal Ashley Birt and Lance Corporal Luke Gavin, tragically killed as a result of a small-arms incident on this day in Afghanistan in 2011. Captain Bryce Duffy was a member of the Mentoring Task Force Three and was from the 4th Field Regiment, Royal Regiment of Australian Artillery (RAA) based in Townsville. He joined the Australian Defence Force Academy in January 2003, completed a Bachelor of Science and graduated from the Royal M...ilitary College in December 2006. He was then posted to 1st Field Regiment, Royal Australian Artillery based in Brisbane. He served with the 1st Field Regiment between till 2010 then transferred to the 4th Field Regiment in Townsville in January 2011 as the Assistant Operations Officer, before his second deployment to Afghanistan in September. Corporal Ashley Birt enlisted into the Australian Regular Army in June 2007 and was allocated to the Royal Australian Engineers as a Geospatial Technician. Following his Engineer Initial Employment Training and Specialist Technical Geospatial Basic course in December 2008, he was posted to the 1st Topographical Survey Squadron (1 TOPO SVY SQN) as a Geospatial Technician. Lance Corporal Luke Gavin was a member of the Mentoring Task ForceThree and was from the 2nd Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment based in Townsville, North Queensland. He enlisted in the Army in 2004. On completion of his basic training and initial employment training he was posted as an infantryman to the 2nd Battalion, the Royal Australian Regiment, in Townsville in 2005. He was promoted to Lance Corporal in January 2009. He was a highly-qualified soldier, having completed specialist training as a combat first aider, Pashtu linguist and infantry support weapons operator. LEST WE FORGET
