25.01.2022 Oleander Butterfly Euploea core discovered by my front door. I was lucky to capture the whole lifecycle over a few weeks. Find out about other animals lifecycles http://www.australianenvironmentaleducation.com.au//life-/
25.01.2022 I love learning something new. Carcinisation: an example of convergent evolution in which a crustacean evolves into a crab-like form from a non-crab-like form. Crab-like forms are thought to have happened independently at least five times in decapod crustaceans, including porcelain crabs, hairy stone crabs, and coconut crabs.
22.01.2022 Parts of NSW and QLD have been facing wild weather and flood warnings over recent days. Climate change is escalating flood risk in Australia. Right now we are a...lso experiencing a La Niña event, which is associated with above-average rainfall across much of Australia and greater risk of flooding. But the nature of climate change means that extreme weather events are being exacerbated, as they are occurring in a warmer and wetter atmosphere. So even though La Niña is bringing even more rain than usual, these events are being supercharged by climate change. It’s a recipe for disaster, so we need to do all we can to get our emissions down.

11.01.2022 Another diving spectacular to add to the list, maybe in 2021!
04.01.2022 Continental drift and Plate Tectonics: a scientific idea that was initially ridiculed paved the way for the theory of plate tectonics, which explains how Earth’s continents move. https://www.nationalgeographic.org//continental-drift-ver/
