20.01.2022 2020 NCHA 4CYTE Futurity event cancelled due to Coronavirus The NCHA Board held a special meeting on Thursday August 6th to discuss whether the 2020 NCHA 4CYTE ...Futurity would be able to run in the current environment surrounding COVID-19. Based on Government recommendations, border closures and the uncertainty of the next few months, it was decided that the 2020 NCHA Futurity show scheduled for October 26th November 8th be cancelled. The NCHA remains committed to crowning the 2020 NCHA aged division champions at the earliest achievable opportunity. The NCHA has exhausted every avenue to provide its members, sponsors and the wider community an all-inclusive age event on the dates advertised; however, the health and safety of competitors, staff, volunteers and spectators’ alike remains of the upmost importance and has largely dictated our decision to cancel the scheduled event. The NCHA and its board of directors would like to extend thanks to those who have supported the event for 2020, and look forward to working with them for an event in the future. The NCHA office will advise of the process of entry cancelation and refunds as soon as possible. We would like to assure all stakeholders that this decision was not taken lightly. NCHA Board

18.01.2022 With a few rain events about our team has been busy planting trees! Thanks to a donation by Greater Bank to Tamworth Regional Council of $50,000 to plant 10,000 trees we're one of the main beneficiaries . Already we've planted about 1000 tubestock of gums, ironbark, kurrajong and callistemons in the paddock for future shade and aesthetic reasons (not for tying horses to ). And there's thousands more to be planted.... To find out more about the Greater Bank's donation, click here: https://fal.cn/3aUjP

17.01.2022 It's been ages since we've had visitors due to COVID-19 but a heads up to our competitors, next time you're here we will look a little different. Some of our signage has had a facelift and a rebadge to change our main signs from AELEC to the Tamworth Sports and Entertainment Precinct. This change reflects the development of other awesome sporting (and entertainment) facilities in the area around AELEC. Still the same but different.... Some of the other sporting facilities include the Tamworth Hockey Complex, Tamworth Sports Dome incorporating the Tamworth Regional Cycling Centre and Tamworth Regional Athletics Centre.

14.01.2022 This page is managed by Tamworth Regional Council staff. We welcome your comments and contributions on our page however in order to ensure our page is friendly and welcoming for all visitors, we ask that you adhere to our Acceptable User Guidelines here: https://bit.ly/3dp19eF We thank you for helping us keep social media an engaging and safe space for everyone.

13.01.2022 And that's a wrap on the 2021 Nutrien Classic Campdraft & Sale here at the AELEC! We had huge hurdles to jump to make it happen this year but we got it across the line. Glad we did, because the results are simply astounding and shows the amazing growth in our performance horse industry - what a solid sale! We're proud to work with Nutrien Equine - Performance, and look forward to seeing everyone again in 2022. Safe travels home

13.01.2022 Flashback Friday - to this time last year at the NCHA Futurity, AELEC's Darren Greentree carrying out moisture and compaction tests on the arena surface. Our main arena surface is constantly changing to suit our different events, ranging from deep and soft to shallow and hard, for cutting to showjumping, breed national shows to speedway. By doing tests and collecting data, we put together surface guidelines of qualitative figures to achieve consistent arena surfaces required ...by each event. How do you like your arena surface?

12.01.2022 Only one more sleep until bump-in for the Tamworth International Eventing CCI-S event this weekend. Here's some fabulous (unpaid!) comments from one of our top competitors, Heath Ryan, had to say about the great facilities and competition at AELEC when he was here last November.

10.01.2022 If somebody tells us it is - than it must be!

10.01.2022 We may be closed to events but we have been busy! Painting the post and rail fence around our 100m x 100m ebb & flow arena and its 30m x 70m warm up arena is one of the maintenance jobs we've done while our doors have been closed. We're stoked at how well it looks after its touch up! Fingers crossed we won't have to wait much longer before there are competitions back on it! Show us your arena fence (or your dream fence!)

09.01.2022 Oh how we’re missing these moments at our gatehouse!

09.01.2022 Last night we illuminated AELEC blue to say thank you to our front line workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. We might be a little biased but how good does this place look? Thank you everyone for your efforts to fight coronavirus. However, as we emerge from isolation, it's important to maintain social distancing and abide by restrictions to ensure that we'll be back to hosting events soon! #lightitblue

08.01.2022 We caught up with 13 year old Allie Palmer five minutes after completing her first ever eventing competition at the Tamworth International Eventing here at AELEC last weekend. She nailed it with clear show jumping and clear cross country rounds (except for a few time penalties)....we reckon this talented young lady will be competing in the 4-star before we know it! New England Girls' School

07.01.2022 Our Manager Mike Rowland tells us about a first-rate thing we're doing this Thursday night - we're lighting AELEC blue! It's our way of saying thank you to front line workers during the COVID-19 pandemic and the community in general for doing such a great job to help slow the spread. #lightitblue

06.01.2022 Slowly, very slowly there's little things beginning to happen around here again following the COVID-19 handbrake . This weekend we're hosting The KEA Rider Training Center Tamworth Clinic in our two undercover warm-up arenas, meaning lessons can run all weekend despite the substantial rain forecast. This adds to the Peel Outdoors Cowkids Camp held by the Australasian Team Roping Association last month .... Stay tuned - our calendar has filled with some more events here in the near future .

06.01.2022 Stabling and Camping Bookings for the Tamworth International Eventing CCI-S open 11am (AEDST), Tuesday 23 February 2021 on Nominate. https://bit.ly/2ZnQ1K9 PRICING... Stables - $70 for the first two nights and $30 for each night thereafter Compulsory Stable Bond - $42.50 (refundable upon leaving the stable cleaned of all bedding) Tack room - $17 a night (two night minimum charge) Camping/Parking Sites - $30 a night (one vehicle per site). Bump in details will be advised closer to the event.

06.01.2022 Our first competition since COVID-19 was a success! Well done to the Tamworth International Eventing committee for a great event.

06.01.2022 With just one week to go until the 2020 Tamworth International Eventing CNC, our cross country course is looking an absolute picture. This is our first big event since COVID-19 restrictions and we're super excited! In our downtime we've improved the ground of the country course with the aggravator aerator to make it nicer going for our competitors' horses. And, with an amazing season we reckon the course is going to be the best it has been since it was built!

05.01.2022 We go out of our way to ensure we get the right arena surface to suit the event we're holding. This weekend we're hosting the North and Northwest Showjumping Club Peel River Produce Show Jumping Championships, so that means out with the fluffy sand from recent rodeos and cattle events to a shallower more compact base for showjumping. Just some of the behind the scenes work that goes on here.

04.01.2022 Sigh...dreaming there is no COVID-19 and we are in the middle of hosting the NSW State Dressage Championships. Instead we'll settle for looking back to the 2019 event. Thank you to Amy-Sue Alston Photography for the fabulous photographs capturing Courtney Larard and F1 Rockstar, Gina Montgomery riding Braveaux, and the amazing Maree Tomkinson with DMJ Donna Elena in action.
