22.01.2022 It's taken 13 months to build, five years of research and a lot of stress and angst, but we are proud to take the covers off our new Memorial to Women and Children Lost to Violence. You can view the Memorial here: https://theredheartcampaign.org/database/ This is a crowd-funded ongoing journalism-based story-driven project tracking every known Australian woman and child killed as a result of murder, manslaughter or neglect from White Settlement to now. How do all these people see the world, three decades after murder touched their lives? 11.01.2022 We have rebuilt the Australian Femicide and Child Death Map. As well as adding around 1000 more victims of violence, we have added more information about their deaths. The Map contains the stories of more than 2200 women and children lost to murder, manslaughter, neglect and other acts of violence in Australia. It also contains the stories of Australian women and children killed overseas. The project is ongoing and it is the perfect companion to The RED HEART Campaign's Memorial to Women and Children Lost to Violence, which officially launches in one week. Every represents a woman or child lost to violence. Simply tap a heart to read their story.
