19.01.2022 It's good to hear in this interview with James Johnson via Simon Hill that he is talking about many of the things we (and others, such as Association of Austral...ian Football Clubs) have been talking about and pushing for some time. 16.01.2022 We welcome FFA’s initiative in starting an inclusive conversation with the ‘XI Principles’. Our initial response tables key elements that need to be incorporated so as to help transition this ‘living’ document to a fully formed policy which will then lead to lasting and successful change. You can find it on our website, but we have also re-posted here to save you a click. 12.01.2022 We have today written to members to let them know of a meeting to be held next Tuesday, 25 August, to discuss the criteria for a national second division with a public statement to be issued after that meeting. We are forging ahead with a view to commencing a NSD in 2022. If you are an AAFC member club, please check your club email for the details. If you haven't received it, please get in touch with [email protected] for details.
11.01.2022 Some more exciting news from The Championship Australia - an expansion of the Partner Group to 35 clubs.
03.01.2022 In relation to the 7.30 report tonight, AAFC is astonished that our member club, Wynnum Wolves Soccer Club, has been threatened by Football Queensland with termination of its NPL Licence for its President's support of Bonita Mersiades in defending a private action against her by FQ's Chairman and CEO. In representing Wynnum Wolves, we have sought that FQ withdraws its breach notice to the club. ... We hope common sense prevails.
03.01.2022 Wonderful to have 60 clubs on board for the Zoom conference tonight to talk about the NSD and what the next steps are. Here is a statement about this with a link to the presentation we gave tonight. Thanks so much for your interest. We would love your support for the critical next step to work out the "one remaining hurdle of what". ... Please work with us by getting in touch. http://www.australianfootballclubs.org.au/media-releases
