25.01.2022 Mark and David joined me for a full day on Lake Boondooma. The day turned out to be one of the best bites we’ve had on Yellowbelly for a while. We started out deep chasing bass and it wasn’t long before Davis was 4 up on the young fella. After a while Mark caught up and had quite a tally of bass to their name. We then headed up-to the timber and targeted fish hiding in the structure. David didn’t take long to get the first Yellowbelly, then really went to town on them, land...ing 5 in a row and some really nice ones at that. We then targeted bass on jigs and finished the day out deep with a final flurry of good bass. 25.01.2022 Aaron and Ryan risked the windy start to their day yesterday and it payed off big time with an epic session on Lake Boondooma. Boondooma is fishing the best I’ve seen it for years. When you find a patch of fish coupled with the right bait used with the right technique your day can be rewarding, very rewarding. The boys had a little bet going with the biggest and the most fish. Aaron had the upper hand early but Ryan got him in the end with numbers but ultimately Aaron took ...away the biggest bass with a 50cm trophy. 15.01.2022 Glen and Ryleigh had a cracker of a day recently on Lake Boondooma with numbers and a mixed bag of good fish on a variety of techniques in different locations about the dam. We ran over a few winter techniques early on and went over a few fish holding locations that fish frequent when the water temperatures are low. They both caught some cracking bass and yellow belly with Glens Yellowbelly being a stand out at 59cm. As the day warmed we moved about the dam targeting the la...rger single fish that move about as the water temps warm. Ryleigh topped the bass with a cracker later in the day. Trent is an avid angler and knows his way around freshwater fishing, so he picked up the technique very quickly. It wasn’t long before he had his first fish on a jig and many more then followed. From the very get go, they put into practice what I showed them and really understood the reasoning behind our method. It was literally one after the other and as the day progressed we made the necessary adjustments to keep them coming. 13.01.2022 Had a great half day charter recently with Rade Unipan on Lake Somerset. Rade had planned to spend a few days over the holiday break with some family and booked us for the first day to get a grasp on what the fish were doing. It’s wasn’t long and he got a feel for exactly what the bass were after. Rade got a few fish for the afternoon but busted his PB with a 55cm beauty. ... 11.01.2022 Linda and Steve joined us for a half day afternoon session on Lake Somerset recently and although the fish were tight lipped in a lot of fish holding areas we bucked the norm and visited some less pressured areas of the dams and found results fishing some subtle finesse techniques. Steve and his wife were staying at Boondooma for a week and thought it would be smart to get me to show them around so they increased their chances of catching some fish during their stay. 09.01.2022 Zac booked a tag along tour with us as he’d recently decked his boat out with a full @garminau fit out, including 84 series sounders and LiveScope. He wanted to fine tune his sounders and troubleshoot any issues. After a thorough run over of his units they were on point and ready to find. 06.01.2022 Merv and Matt joined me for a day out on Lake Somerset recently and the dam really lived up to it’s tough reputation. However, the boys knew what they were in for and really gave it a good work over. After some fine tuning of techniques the boys turned a tough day into a very respectable one with some numbers coming aboard and some nice ones too. I showed the boys how to fish tough conditions, slowed down presentations and how to keep the lure in the zone for longer to get t...hose sometimes finicky bass to bite. Multiple lure changes were needed at times to produce bites but once the boys got the hang of it they got right amongst them. Great job men!
