24.01.2022 A huge congratulations to our very own Coach Stretch and to Paddy Lane, who were both recognised at the Leader Community News Local Sports Star awards ceremony at the MCG last night! Paddy took out the Progress Leader Senior Sports Star awards, while Brent was the state winner of the Services to Sport award, with a nice write-up on the Lilydale & Yarra Valley Leader Facebook page! For the full list of award winners, and a couple of naturally-posed snaps of the boys, check out the attached link.

23.01.2022 For this week's #MeetTheTeamMonday, we hacked into the phones of the Goannas to find out the most recent emoji they used. Can you match the emoji with the player? Hint: it isn't that hard!

23.01.2022 Some of the Goanna’s recently got to teach Dane and Adam from the South East Melbourne Phoenix some Auslan. Ramas McRae came up with a sign name and the Goannas were on hand to teach Dane and Adam how to sign it. We will be watching this season to see if they use it in a game! Thank you South East Melbourne Phoenix for the opportunity and we will be right behind you this season! Make sure you get behind them as well!

23.01.2022 #FlashbackFriday all the way back to... last Sunday where the Goanna's attended the South East Melbourne Phoenix game. Jordan and Sam were interviewed on the big screen before the game to talk about the work the Phoenix have done with the team and taught the crowd how to sign 'Go Phoenix' in Auslan! Thank you for inviting us South East Melbourne Phoenix. (We apologise for the low quality. Captions are included)

By ordering online and using the code DBA10, you’ll automatically receive 10% off SISU Mouthguard - Asia Pacific mouthguards and accessories! Keep those teeth looking straight, shiny and within your gums, just like the Goannas do.

13.01.2022 A hint at the work the boys do away from team training and the people who help them get that done.

13.01.2022 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT Due to the unrest in Hong Kong and the government of Hong Kong’s inability to guarantee the safety of our athletes and officials for the ...2019 Asia Pacific Games for the Deaf, the APGD Organising Committee decided to cancel the event. Deaf Basketball Australia is disappointed for the Goannas because they have put 150% into their preparations for the Games. However, the safety of our athletes and officials is our priority, ultimately we respect the decision of the APGD Organising Committee. Most importantly, we are very grateful for our donors and supporters who have contributed to the Goannas. Please know that we haven’t forgotten you, and we will continue to ensure that your support is highly valued. In addition, Deaf Basketball Australia are currently in talks with the Deaf International Basketball Federation to determine the next steps especially in regards to qualifying for the 2021 Deaflympic Games. We will provide you with further updates as soon as possible. Thank you. Irena Farinacci President

10.01.2022 28: The number of days until the Goannas' first Asia Pacific Deaf Games match, and also the number of centimetres in Cal's vertical. Or is it inches? #FlashbackFriday

08.01.2022 Today the Goannas were scheduled to fly to Hong Kong to defend their title at the 2019 APDG HK. As the games are currently cancelled and alternative arrangements being made, the team are still training hard in preparation of the next event whenever and wherever it may be! 06.01.2022 This week's #TrickShotTuesday wonders how Jordan managed to trick Suzie into marrying him this weekend... Congratulations to the happy couple!

06.01.2022 This week's #TrickShotTuesday takes us back a few years to a team effort between Coach Stretch, Mark and Ramas. Can you get two friends together and match this? Or can you get even more?

06.01.2022 Iso has been an interesting time for all. The Goannas Training has been put on ice like all other Basketballers in Australia so we thought we would throw together some of our favorite Trick Shots from the last few years. Not sure if we are competing with the Shelley Gang Luke Shelley Jaz Shelley but there are definitely some funny celebrations in there. We hope you enjoy and we are all able to get back to HOOPS soon. 03.01.2022 It’s the National Week of Deaf People where we celebrate Deaf culture, history and people. Why not learn an Auslan sign or two, catch up with your Deaf friends or discover how you can ensure the inclusion of Deaf and hard of hearing people in mainstream society? We can’t wait to get back to work when it’s safe to make more Deaf sporting history.... Thanks for the shout out Basketball Australia!

02.01.2022 While we're sitting around waiting for news, we may as well get busy in the kitchen, right? This week's #MeetTheTeamMonday asks the Goannas three of the most important cuisine questions one could ask an Australian. Did they get it right? Have your say below!

01.01.2022 Thanks APAC Dental and Dentex Australia for our goodies! The boys will make sure their pearly whites stay photo-worthy with your mouthguards, cases and sprays.

01.01.2022 Rocking up to a Goannas camp while the boys are hard at work would have a completely different feel if they each had their dream car... For this week's #MeetTheTeamMonday, check out what they'd be driving if they were given the chance to have any car they wanted. Any guesses as to who would "own" which car?
