22.01.2022 No hiking post this week. After driving 60km to Mount Coree on Friday I got there only to discover that while the rain had pretty much stopped, the cloud cover at the summit wasn't going to make for a good walk and write up. It was also one of those days where it just didn't 'feel right'. For me that is a really rare feeling as I will usually walk anywhere, anytime, no matter what the conditions. I've learned to trust my gut feeling when I have the choice. Have you ever had a day where you decided against a hike for no other reason than 'it just felt wrong'?

20.01.2022 The first day of September is Wattle Day in Australia and as common as it is I just love this plant. Are you a lover or hater of wattle? #australianhiker #wattle
