21.01.2022 Was your home built between 2005-2009? Have you had your ceilings inspected recently? We were contacted by a homeowner only yesterday about his Theatre Ceiling falling in & recent press has shown it to be a growing issue.... Find out more info on our latest Blog Post & get in touch if you'd like an independent assessment of your ceilings... https://www.australianhomeinspections.com.au//ceiling-coll

12.01.2022 We wait till Noon to post, as we're being very serious... Don't be an APRIL FOOL!! House fires are NO joke! Happy to send through a PDF guide from FESA on how to change your batteries if you're not sure how... just comment below & I'll send 1 via Messenger. Just remember, to change all of the batteries... Single storey homes commonly have at least 2 (in hallways near bedrooms), and double storey homes will often have 3 or more.... While your up there changing the battery, check that your Smoke Alarm is still in date too... Did you know that your Smoke Alarm only has a 10year life, and on the inside cover will have a manufactured or replacement date... if it's older than 10 years, its time to swap it out. It doesn't cost much, and needs to be done to make sure that if disaster strikes the alarm will do its job! If there's no date at all, and your alarm is not mains powered, its likely way past its expiry date & needs changing. If you're not sure what you are looking at, snap a picture of the inside cover (where all the writing is) & message it to us... we'll be happy to let you know the date it needs to be changed. Please like & share... you never know, we may just save a life. Cheers Nick

05.01.2022 From our family to yours... we wish you all a very Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!! I also wanted to give a heartfelt thank you for all of your support of our little Home Inspection business. We've had a busy year with lots of inspections, support & advice. We've also seen lots of changes happening to building codes, strata laws, & our Australian Standards... a challenging but fun year all round. ... Our most exciting news though has come only in the last month, with a new addition to our team... We have added a full-time Pest Control technician to our Australian Home Inspections Family. Paul joins the team & has a wealth of knowledge & experience on all facets of pest control. Our Pest Control is carried out under the brand Aussie Pest.Co (reg 2422), and all our pest services carry industry-leading guarantees. You can follow along at www.facebook.com/aussiepestco Thanks again for all of your support this year, we have fantastic projects in the works for next year, so we are excited to see what the new decade can bring... Bring on 2020. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas & Prosperous New Year. Nick Del Carlo

03.01.2022 We posted about this the other week... Have you checked your flexi-hoses yet? Check out the footage... you'll be surprised by the amount of water one of these hoses can put out when they pop. Put them in your calendar & check every 6 months, change them as soon as the get any frayed bits or rust spots showing up.... Chanel 7 ran a story on burst Flexi-Hoses, as they are a leading cause of accidental water damage in homes.
