24.01.2022 This is a great snapshot of why we have invested so much time and effort in Tasmania, and Devonport. Its a tremendous state, with such a great history, community, sense of place and a significant opportunity in the future. This isnt without its challenges and we passionately believe we can contribute to the solution. https://iview.abc.net.au/show/big-island-an-abc-news-special

20.01.2022 The Australian Human Rights Commission has just released a Background Paper on Older Womens Risk of Homelessness. With the number of older homeless women in Australia increasing by over 30% between 2011 and 2016 to nearly 7,000, its wonderful to see that the Hon. Dr Kay Patterson has made this one of her 3 priority areas as the Age Discrimination Commissioner. We havent had the opportunity to read the paper and the solutions it offers but its refreshing to see that rather than calling on the Government alone, she is actually sending a challenge to the property industry to help find the solutions. https://www.humanrights.gov.au//AHRC_OW_homelessness2019.p

18.01.2022 This is why we do what we do. I often get asked what drives me or what is the reason you do what you do. People have this thing about money. I had that disease and money has nothing compared to seeing someone make their life better. I love to watch change. There is no amount of money that can substitute the feeling I get with these stories.

11.01.2022 Thursday saw the latest release of the Rental Affordability Index. This release focuses on vulnerable demographics, including single mothers and single males. It has been found that there are 110,000 single parent, low income households nation wide and out of over 90,000 of these households, 82% involve single mothers who are living in rental stress. Majority of these women earn $41,600 per annum or less, meaning they are paying between 40% - 70% of their income on rent. https://www.sgsep.com.au///RAI_Nov_2018_-_high_quality.pdf

01.01.2022 How can you turn a single-family home into a multi-unit, micro-apartment conversion? Its all about borrowing space in a way that can be easily placed back at a... later stage if the need arises. . In this micro-apartment conversion, the garage has become a great studio apartment that would appeal to a student, young professional, or a couple just starting out. .
