25.01.2022 A great trip to the Coorong National Park last week. A full day of cruising with walks in the park followed by a horse drawn tram ride to Granite Island in Victor Harbor. We also went across to Mundoo Island for a very special tour in the Coorong. Fantastic scenic views, great history, beautiful Brumbies, picturesque car graveyard and terrific owners. #CoorongNationalPark #MundooIsland #VictorHarbor

23.01.2022 The Touring Season has officially started and here we are in Tasmania. 12 wonderful days ahead of us with great experiences, scenery and delicacies. All on board after exploring the Salamanca Markets in Hobart yesterday. Our journey took us to Coal River Farm tasting some amazing home made chocolates and cheese. Wow! Not only do they all look amazing, they taste absolutely divine. We continued onto Puddleduck Vineyard for a wine tasting with fantastic views. A family run vineyard producing fine Tasmanian wines. Wonderful service and you can see and feel the passion as soon as you put your foot on this property. Richmond was our next stop on the agenda before arriving in New Norfolk for our overnight stay. #TasmaniaGroupTours #IconicTours #CoalRiverFarm #PuddleduckVineyard

21.01.2022 Some amazing wildlife we have seen here in Tasmania over the last few days. HAPPY SUNDAY everyone.

19.01.2022 This Mother's Day we would like to give thanks to all the women who have had positive impacts on our lives. Whether that be mothers, grandmothers or influential women. We hope this day is filled with laughter and love from your nearest and dearest. This is a great shot taken in the Flinders Ranges during flower season back in 2016.

19.01.2022 Freycinet National Park on the East Coast of Tasmania boosts an array of walking trails. Part of the group made their way up to the Wineglass Bay Lookout while the others took shorter walking options. The coastal scenery is stunning along the peninsula. In the afternoon we travelled further south to Port Arthur. A full day awaits us today - the Tasman Island Cruise and a visit to the historic site of Port Arthur. #FreycinetNationalPark #IconicExperiences #WineglassBayTas

17.01.2022 While Flick and Rita toured Tasmania last week, we had Marian touring to Coober Pedy, Lake Eyre and Wilpena Pound. A fabulous 4 day getaway for our two travellers from the UK. Warm temperatures, but not too hot. The recent local rainfall of 94mm transformed outback areas into a greener desert. Even saw some water in South Lake Eyre and water flowing across the dirt track. The Flinders Ranges looked a little greener too due to recent rainfall. It was great seeing emus and Yellow Footed Rock Wallabies out and about. Stunning scenic flight over Wilpena Pound too. Certainly a fantastic 4 day experience for our guests. #LakeEyreTours #WilpenaPound #CooberPedy #ShortTours #IconicTours

17.01.2022 Our journey to Stanley, the historic Highfield Site and the Chairlift up the giant Nut certainly kept us busy yesterday. A great BBQ dinner before retiring early. Now we are on our way to Cradle Mountain. No snow, but most definitely a change in temperature coming up. #TheNutTasmania #HighfieldHistoricSite #TasmaniaTours

16.01.2022 Who is trying to push Alice (bus) into the ocean? With so much beautiful scenery for the eyes, it was time to spoil our tastebuds with some local delicacies. From honey, gin, affogato, lavender scones and wine, the island has it all. #KangarooIslandTours #SmallGroupTours

16.01.2022 Some impressions from Day 8 and 9. Enjoyed a trip to Beaconsfield Mine and Heritage Centre, a stop at Brady's Lookout for its picturesque views over Tamar Valley, wine tasting at Tamar Ridge Cellar Door and a visit to the Wetland Centre to watch some beautiful birds. And then there were desserts again - they looked so delicious that they had to be healthy. :-D :-D We are now travelling along the East Coast and spent last night in Bicheno. A great place for leisurely walks and seeing the penguins coming into shore at night. #TamarValley #TasmaniaGroupTours #Bicheno #EastCoastTasmnia

15.01.2022 Some extra photos from yesterdays day!

15.01.2022 What a wonderful train experience we all had from Queenstown yesterday. The West Coast Wilderness Railway is an icon and cannot to be missed when visiting Tasmania. The track had us passing tree ferns, myrtle, Huon Pine, Sassasfras and King Billy trees. Great to watch the train being turned on the turntable, we searched for gold, crossed the King River Gorge and enjoyed terrific service in the Wilderness Class carriage. After some free time in Queenstown our tour continued to Strahan. #WildernessRailwayTasmania #Queenstown #IconicTours #TasmaniaGroupTours

14.01.2022 Sunrise along the Murray River during our 7 Day Cruise. This photograph was sent to us by Joy today and wow, does that create Travel Fever! So looking forward to hit the road, river and air again.

13.01.2022 Gordon River Cruises are the best way to get deep into the UNESCO Tasmanian Wilderness world heritage area. On board the state-of-the-art catamaran "Spirit of the Wild" we sat back in our reclining chairs and travelled to Macquarie Harbour and Hells Gate. The day included a walk at Heritage Landing and Sarah Island and was filled with informative commentary, delicious food, spot on service and scenic views from the premium upper deck. We finished our evening with the live theatre production "The Ship that Never Was". #GordonRiverCruises #PremiumDeck #WestCoastTasmania #Strahan #IconicTours

12.01.2022 Kangaroo Island had been heavily impacted by fires early this year and almost 50% were destroyed. We knew how important it was to come to the island and support all businesses here. With a little rearrangement of activities and the loyalty and trust from our travellers, we were able to experience a great part of Kangaroo Island. #KangarooIslandTours #ThankYou #KangarooIsland

11.01.2022 Whilst we may not all be spending this Easter weekend exactly how we had planned, perhaps this year it is more important than ever to cherish this time with those closest to you, stay connected and be thankful for the little things that make you smile. We wish you and your family a Happy and Safe Easter. For those of you who have not received our newsletter, you may need to check your promotional folder or perhaps you are not signed up. 10.01.2022 New Silo Art in Cowell! Looks stunning!

09.01.2022 Wow, what a cracker of a Tasman Cruise! Perfect day - Stunning Scenery - Fabulous Group - Fantastic Pennicott Wilderness Journeys Staff. This cruise is the best way to see the spectacular coastline of the peninsula. Breathtakingly wonderful! #PennicottTasmanCruise #AustralianIconicTours #TasmaniaGroupTours #TasmanNationalPark

09.01.2022 Day 2 and our journey took us to one of the most photographed waterfalls in Tasmania - Russell Falls. It is not just the falls that attract us here. The walk through the the cool temperate rainforest is so peaceful and eye-catching. For lunch we stopped at Tarraleah, a small town in the Central Highlands and home to the hydroelectric power station. It's huge! A visit to the Wall in the Wilderness was not to be missed. Our final drive to Queenstown is a scenic one, but also very curvy. Having to take this drive slow, it certainly allows for plenty of photographs on route. #RussellFalls #MtFieldNationalPark #Tarraleah #TasmaniaTours

08.01.2022 Day 7 we travelled from Cradle Mountain to Sheffield, Ashgrove Cheese, Christmas Hills Raspberry Farm, Cataract Gorge and Launceston as our final destination. The Murals in Sheffield are stunning; every year we discover new paintings on buildings and other walls. It is very difficult to pick a favourite. The cheese tasting and then our lunch were delicious. A great variety of dishes whether you like sweet pancakes or something savory. Just Yum! We walked off some calories at ...Cataract Gorge, the recreational hot spot for locals and visitors in Launceston. Dinner was served at Cataract on Paterson, a restaurant featuring locally sourced dishes. And of course there was dessert. Oh my gosh..when are we going back? Perhaps we add some extra walks to the program tomorrow. :-D :-D #IconicToursTasmania #Sheffield #CataractGorge #Launceston #CatractOnPaterson #AshgroveCheese #ChristmasHills See more

03.01.2022 A fabulous day at Cradle Mountain. Certainly needed to be rugged up brr.... :-D Our day was filled with Tasmanian Devils, wombats, clean mountain air, helicopter flights and a walk around Dove Lake. It truly feels quite special up here. #CradleMountain #IconicExperiences #TasmaniaGroupTours
