24.01.2022 Australia's Migration Program Planning Levels have been released. These numbers support the recent announcements made for immigration that came with the Australian Federal Budget 2020. Many visas such as the Skilled Independent 189, State Nomination 19, Skilled Work Regional 491 and Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional 494 visas have had their quota's halved. 16.01.2022 APPLYING FOR A PARTNER VISA IN 2020-2021? Australia's priorities for the rest of this financial year are rather different as a response to the pandemic. Partner Visas will be allocated a quota of 72,300, almost double the previous year. The NEW English requirement will also commence next financial year. If you're applying for the partner visa, you're going to have to prove your relationship to the government. Learn about social aspects of the relationship.

15.01.2022 The 189 visa has become really tough to get. Is this your alternative? #2020 has been tough with quotas for most visas cut. The GTI program however, saw a THREE-FOLD INCREASE in quota. Don't know about the Global Talent Independent (GTI) program? It only started in November 2019. The GTI program may not be well known, but it is actually a great alternative to the skilled visas. Although you are required to prove your skills in a specific target sector, graduates WITHOUT any work experience are also eligible for the visa. These would be those graduated in the last 3 years from a Bachelors Honours, Masters or PhD degree.

14.01.2022 Incentives announced to move to regional areas to work. Of course, you will notice TR visa holders only get $2000 compared to $6000 for Citz or PR visa holders. So I guess that means the government thinks they are third rate residents?

12.01.2022 A little more Covid-19 related news. It’s good! The previous concession to certain 887 visa applicants has been EXTENDED TO ALL. You will now be able to apply for and be granted your visa, whether you are in Australia or out of Australia. If you’re unable to return to Australia, this will help you greatly. There will only be the Distinguished Talent 858 visa moving forward. The 124 subclass is now closed. 858 applicants can be inside or outside of Australia at the time of application and at the time the visa is granted. If you are doing critical Covid-19 in a health or medical sector, you may be able to use this work period to count towards your second or third working holiday visa.

11.01.2022 Applying for a Skilled Independent 189 visa? When you submit your Expression of Interest (EOI) this is not a visa application! You must wait for the immigration department to choose you. They will then send you an invitation to apply. Learn about the invitation process and about the very important time of invitation criteria; once an invitation is issued, you won't be able to update certain information. If you have documents that are no longer valid, you cannot apply successf...ully for the 189 visa and will lose your place in the SkillSelect queue. 11.01.2022 If you're applying for an Australian Partner visa subclasses 309/100 or 820/801, you're going to have to prove your relationship on four fronts. These are the "aspects of the relationship". These are financial aspects, nature of the household, social aspects and the nature of your commitment. Proving the nature of your commitment goes beyond registering your marriage/partnership officially or living together. It is also important to remember that you are not only required to prove that your relationship is genuine but is also continuing, which means that you must be able to show evidence over time.

07.01.2022 And the October invitation round is out and of course most of you know its not good because you didn't get one. However 30 lucky people were manually selected for the 189 visa, no doubt targeted medical professionals. 80 Family-Sponsored 491 invitations were issued, also probably medical professionals. If you don't want to be depressed, then don't take a look.
