22.01.2022 The start of this year has really enabled us to travel and carry out the assessments of our dogs. Last week we completed this process for ALHD "Jake". He is now an accredited Hearing Assistance Dog . A big congratulations to his recipient and the supporting Lions Club. Jake is a Terrier x from YP Puppy Rescue.... He was supported in his placement by the Lions Club of Moore Park Inc who helped with the follow up program. They assisted with sounds in the home to make sure that Jake was alerting his recipient. 20.01.2022 Congratulations to ALHD Spud and his recipient for passing their public access and sound test today and becoming an officially accredited team. Spud was sponsored through the puppy program by the Cubs of The Lions Club of City of Adelaide Inc. His foster family are also part of Lions and we appreciate their hard work to raise Spud and give him good life experiences.... He was supported in the home by the Lions Club of Australian Hearing Dogs. This was a great opportunity for many members of staff to experience the other side of dog placements by supporting a recipient during the follow up period. We are so proud of how far the team has come and look forward to continuing the support of Spud well into the future.

She was supported in her placement by the Maroubra Lions Club who helped with the follow up program. They assisted with sounds in the home to make sure that Freya was alerting her recipient.... Fundraising for the placement of Freya was helped by the Staff and inmates at a Long Bay prison after they donated over $2,000 to the Maroubra Lions Club following a Christmas cake fundraising drive.
