It’s clear to see from the positive response we had to the tournament and its officials that the AMAA is once again on the right track and will continue to grow whilst supporting all martial arts styles. Whilst member numbers are currently at an all-time low it's obvious it was a necessary step in order to rebuild the association in a manner that all martial artists will appreciate. 22.01.2022 THIS SATURDAY FROM 12PM, Platinum Judo Club will be holding a fundraiser for the recent fires. The money raised will be 100% donated to 'Sampson Flat Bushfire ...Relief Appeal', in support of the amazing work they have been doing battling the SA bush fires and aiding family’s that are in need. All clubs & club members are welcome and encouraged to attend. 20.01.2022 Hello, We at the Australian Martial Arts Association hope you have enjoyed your holiday period and would like to wish you all the best for 2016. The focus of the AMAA for this year is to help promote member clubs and friends of the AMAA to help ensure a good year for all. We intend to do this by hosting more martial art expos, providing advertising opportunities and as always through public exposure at tournaments and inter-club training days. As I’m sure you understand, or...ganising and running an AMAA Tournament is a lot of hard work and a costly venture for the AMAA. It is with this in mind that we would like to ask for any help which you may be able to provide such as becoming a member club and contributing a little of your time in order to help with administrative duties either on the day of a tournament or in advance, for example helping to find a suitable venue or volunteering to help run the entry desk on the day. Tournaments also require the help of AMAA Accredited Officials. Member club heads and students who fit the criteria as set out on page (7) of the AMAA Rule Book are eligible to attend an accreditation officials course www.australianmartialartsassociation.com/rulebook%202015.pdf The final element to a successful tournament is of course entrants; we humbly encourage you and/or your students to enter as competitors into any of the categories available at an AMAA Tournament. This will help the AMAA succeed in its aspirations for 2016 and in return benefit the wider martial arts community. Please contact the us if you are able to offer your assistance with any of the above including providing entrants so that the AMAA can decide at the monthly meetings whether a 2016 tournament is a viable option and if so, where the most convenient location would be to do so. 13.01.2022 The AMAA thanks the presenters and participants of the recent inter club training day. Whilst we certainly didn't break any records for the number of attendees on such a wintry day we may have very well broken a record for the most accumulative amount of martial arts experience in one venue for the number of people present. With majority of the presenters having 35+ years experience and indeed many of the attendees equalling that, the day can only be described as a great suc...cess which was obvious by the smiles on everyone's faces. We look forward to seeing you all again soon, maybe at the forthcoming Martial Arts Expo where we will invite clubs to showcase their wares at a public community event to help promote their clubs.
