25.01.2022 So in these crazy times of uncertainty and closures we are all doing what we can to keep our businesses going. We are a small family run business that send our in workshop handmade Menus and Compendiums Australia wide. Dave is a qualified trained Book binder and thus we also do regular bookbinding jobs in store, presentation folders, theses binding , hard cover binding and custom folders, ring binders etc. Please contact us if you have any enquiries.

23.01.2022 Blue buckram bookbinding cloth, coupled with white foil stamping. Buckram is a hard wearing book cloth that can be wiped down with a damp cloth . These are a square pocket style that hold a single or multiple A4 landscape sheets of paper folded so that a 8 cm section is slipped into the pocket.

21.01.2022 Foil options . Depending on your logo we can use 2 different colour foils as shown here on the Aden Hotel and Bushfire menus. There just needs to be a clear spacing between the sections. We have access to a range of colours for you to choose from. The embossing works best with a clean unfussy design although some logos can be altered slightly to obtain the best results.

20.01.2022 We can make billfolds to suit your requirements. These were made using a bookbinders leather with a small corner pocket inside. The logo for 'Koukla' was 'blind ' debossed ie no foil into the material. All of our menus are made to measure instore so we can change the size or style, alter pocket size etc.

17.01.2022 It's been a very busy few weeks and I'm finally sharing a couple of the menus we've made to order instore . We have a wide range of book binding materials in different finishes and colours and also a variety of foils for the logo. The A4 size Chernside Park Compendiums were made using dark grey Chelsea cloth with black foil used to imprint their logo. The A4 Anchor Bar menus are made with black Buckram and silver foil for the logo. Both menus have heavy weight plastic sleeves. .

17.01.2022 We recently made these A5 size ring binder folders for our repeat customer, Green Island Resort. These are sized to take plastic sleeves but as we make all our covers in our workshop and everything is cut to measure we can alter them to take heavy paper which has been hole punched.

17.01.2022 Looking for something a little different ? We have a stock file corrugated iron print which you can add your logo to. We combine it with buckram on the spine or spine and back . You can supply a high res file with your own image if preferred.

13.01.2022 Wishing all our customers a successful 2019 ! Start the year off with fresh new menu covers , we hand make our covers to order to suit your decor and style. We recently made these custom size covers that have a carbon fibre rod to secure either a single or multiple sheets of paper . They can be sized to take A3 or A4 landscape paper which makes it easy to print your own menu pages.. The finished folded covers will be A4 and A5. We used a metallic blue buckram with copper foil for the imprint and they will take A3 landscape paper trimmed to 420mm x 210mm. The rod has a flexibility that allows for simply slipping the folded pages underneath to secure.

11.01.2022 We make all of our Menu and Compendium covers in our workshop using quality bookbinding cloth that is durable and easily cleaned with detergent based wipes or alcohol free cleaners. The covers come in a variety of styles using different options to secure the pages. A pocket style where a section of the pages are folded and slid into the pocket suitable for multiple pages, plastic sleeves or top and bottom horizontal strips that holds maximum 2 pages or a combination of pocket with strips inside front cover to hold specials.

10.01.2022 As if you needed another reason to watch the Australian Parliament sitting on Monday, now to make it even more exciting Australian Menus & Compediums have produced the folders that the speaker of the house will use. All from our little business.

08.01.2022 These A4 and A5 size menu folders were made for Rococo Bistro at Noosa , they are a more casual style that uses a black rubber band to secure the folded printed insert . The A4 takes a A3 size landscape folded menu insert and the A5 takes a A4 landcape folded menu insert . We could also make a tall slim line cover which would take a A4 portrait menu folded in half. We supply extra bands should one need replacing. The band is wrapped twice to secure the insert in the A5. Blind embossing , ie no foil used.

04.01.2022 Royal blue buckram compendiums made as a one piece folder with top and bottom strips on the inside left to hold a single sheet of paper and plastic sleeves on the right. We can also make a pocket for the left side to hold paperwork instead of the strips. We cut and make all of our covers instore so are able to make any amendments requested.

01.01.2022 We recently sent these royal blue suede finish hidden interscrew menu covers to the Sailmaster Tavern in North Haven S.A. The logo was 'Blind' debossed on with no foil, the heat and pressure of the metal plate leaves an impression onto the cloth. The material can be wiped down with a soft damp cloth ..
