22.01.2022 Salisbury Business Showcase Month. "Come to Salisbury and see the World" - we love being part of the community here: "Today, as part of our month-long Salisbury Business Showcase, we feature another great long-time business right on our doorstep Australian Migration Options Pty Ltd (AMO) Owned and operated by Libby Hogarth, they’ve been providing quality outcomes to their clients since 2009 as AMO, but were trading as Libby Hogarth & Associates prior to that since 1996. Sa...lisbury was the natural fit for our business due to the multicultural flavour of the area, as well as a large proportion of our clients being based in Salisbury and surrounding suburbs. They are experienced Migration Agents providing advice and assistance with visa applications and Australian Citizenship and appeals to the Administrative Appeals Tribunal. AMO is one of many family businesses located in Salisbury, with Libby and two daughters , Sarah Cece and Ruth Nowlan and a 3 person admin team They have also been actively involved in various community activities including assisting with the set up of the Food Box project to assist people during COVID who were not eligible for any government benefits. They believe that their point of difference is based around experience, honesty and friendliness They have a combined experience of over 60 years and are well known for their friendly, professional and ethical practice and competitive fees as well as their very good success rate with applications and reviews. They believe that their point of difference is based around experience, honesty and friendliness. Their team have a combined experience of over 60 years and are well known for their friendly, professional and ethical practice and competitive fees as well as their very good success rate with applications and reviews Our key goals are (1) To provide honest and high standard professional services to assist sponsors and visa applicants with the complexity of migration visa applications and appeals and (2) To be recognised in the community as the best migration services. COVID-19 forced the business to close it’s physical office and to review it’s customer engagement. This saw the introduction of providing appointments by zoom, skype and phone, but it's all worth it when we see the joy of families as they are re-united. For more information, visit them at or follow their Facebook Page : https://www.facebook.com/AustralianMigrationOptions or give them a call 08 8182 3021 or send an email: [email protected] We love having the dedicated team at Australian Migration Options Pty Ltd right here, in the heart of Salisbury supporting our diverse community. The Salisbury Business Showcase is proudly brought to you by The Polaris Centre, City of Salisbury, SA, Australia, SA Small Business Commissioner, Salisbury Business Association and Rotary Club of Salisbury" See more

19.01.2022 Friday, 30 October 2020 Media release -The Hon Alan Tudge Stronger focus on Australian values for visa applicants From today, new applicants for most visas will be required to sign or accept an updated Australian Values Statement, with a greater focus on values like freedom, respect, equality and the rule of law. The declaration that Australian citizenship applicants sign as part of their application has also been updated to mirror the wording of the Australian Values Sta...tement. Our shared values unite us as Australians and underpin the freedom and prosperity that makes our nation so attractive for the millions of migrants who choose to visit, work and settle here....... Those who want to settle in Australia permanently will also commit to make reasonable efforts to learn English, so they can fully participate in the community and have the best possible chance to get a job. There is no new test or threshold associated with this change.......................... As previously announced, a new Australian Citizenship Test with a stronger focus on Australian values will also come into effect on 15 November. The Life in Australia booklet provides visa applicants with supporting information on the values in the updated Australian Values Statement.

09.01.2022 This is why you use a registered migration agent! It is a pity the article use the term "migration agent" in the heading and not just "serial fraudster" "Australian Border Force A 38-year-old Chinese national has been jailed for 6 years after being convicted of multiple charges relating to extensive migration fraud. A joint ABF, Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and Australian Federal Police investigation revealed the woman, who had been livin...g in Perth, masqueraded as a registered migration agent, obtaining more than $300,000 from unsuspecting visa applicants, and charging a number them for services she did not deliver. Read more at http://spr.ly/6185H53vx" "In Australia it is unlawful to provide immigration assistance, and unlawful to charge a fee for that assistance, unless you are registered with the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority (OMARA), Assistant Minister Wood said. Anyone with information about individuals falsely claiming to be a migration agent should contact Border Watch at Australia.gov.au/borderwatch. By reporting suspicious activities, https://newsroom.abf.gov.au//3ab68c2c-8bd6-41b2-be79-0d865 help protect Australia's border. Information can be provided anonymously."""

09.01.2022 Offshore migration - an outrageously expensive failure

04.01.2022 THE IMPORTANCE Of HAVING A WILL: I have seen too many of our clients’ families struggling with the weight of grief after the death of a loved one, and then at the same time not being able to access finance because no will had been written. Some cultures find it very difficult to discuss the issue of Wills but it is so important to understand why you need one in this country. This sad story may help people understand a little.

04.01.2022 AMO wishes everyone a VERY HAPPY AND BLESSED NEW YEAR - hopefully with lots of visa grants, families re-united and no covid19. AND Happy Birthday to all those who were given 01 January as their birth dates! Hope you have a special day

02.01.2022 AMO OFFICE CLOSED THIS WEEK BUT STILL WORKING! As a precaution we will be closed to walk in clients and face to face this week given the new COVID clusters are so close to us. BUT YOU CAN STILL CONTACT US BY PHONE (08 8182 3021) Or EMAIL: [email protected] Please check and stay safe

01.01.2022 The Dept of Home Affairs has told the ABC: "There have been no SHEV holders that have been found to meet the SHEV pathway requirements and subsequently been granted a permanent visa," a spokesperson said. "To preserve our strong border protection approach to illegal maritime arrivals, Australia maintains the policy setting that persons who travel illegally to Australia by boat will not permanently settle in Australia." SHEV visa clients are only just beginning to meet the 42 ...month SHEV pathway and there are numerous Permanent visa applications in process so what does the Department infer by their second sentence? That they will refuse all valid applications? The permanent visa pathway is certainly turning out to be far more difficult than people anticipated which means most SHEV visa holders will need to apply for a further SHEV visa before their current visa expires. Contact AMO on 08 8182 3021 if you need assistance. Do NOT make the mistake of having conflicting information in your new application compared to your original applications and statements! At the same time AMO calls on the Australian Government to have some humanity and compassion. All politicians know what it is like to be separated from their families for a few weeks so we implore you to have some mercy on these guys some of whom have never held their youngest child and have been denied the right to raise their children because of our ongoing punitive laws. https://www.abc.net.au//zaki-haidari-visa-could-e/13019420 See more
