23.01.2022 Exciting updates from the ‘big kids’ at AMS!! Aidan Eccleshall was successful in his application for Bachelor of Music in both performance and composition at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. He’s chosen composition - and he’ll keep playing piano and clarinet for fun. Whilst Aidan loves a lovely big grand piano, he does most of his composing at this keyboard in his bedroom at home. ... Congratulations Aidan!

22.01.2022 More exciting updates from our ‘big kids’... Miss Tilly has decided on Bachelor of Music at Macquarie University as her degree of choice. She’s keen to do a broad music degree to become the best music TEACHER she can possibly be. Tilly sent us this photo from quarantine in Perth, having recently been caught up in the chaos of returning to Australia. She’s had plenty of time to practice and she is looking forward to arriving home in Sydney next week. ... Congratulations Tilly we’re so happy for you!

10.01.2022 This week in Korogocho - the ‘Monkey Song’ and ‘One Leg’ were a hit with the kids. A local charity delivered supplies and each of the children went home from their music class with a 2kg pack of maize flour and 1kg pack of green gram. Joseph and Celine are doing a wonderful job!

09.01.2022 It’s been a while since we updated you on our classes in Nairobi - teacher Joseph and teacher Celine are still going well! Here are some lovely photos from this week. They start each lesson by hand washing and sanitizing and end the class by eating a banana with the kids. Thankfully, their region of Korogocho has been Covid free. Joseph and Celine are currently volunteering their time as all schools are closed and the kids need something to keep them occupied.

08.01.2022 More exciting updates from the AMS ‘big kids’.... Elysse Choy (Miss Michelle’s class of ‘19) is at UNSW studying a Bachelor of Medicinal Chemistry! She’s taking a Music Psychology Course as part of her degree which she is loving as she researches ‘how music makes us feel emotions’ and ‘the role of music in development and society’. ... And of course, Elysse is still playing piano and singing for fun. Congratulations Elysse we’re so proud of you!

08.01.2022 More exciting updates from the ‘big kids’ at AMS.... Tali Greenfield was successful in her auditions to a variety of institutions including The Sydney Conservatorium of Music (Performance and Music Education), and AIM (musical theatre). As she’s planning a career in Musical Theatre, Tali has accepted her offer at Brent Street Studios where she will study Singing, Dancing & Acting. (She’ll keep playing piano and violin for fun!)... Congratulations Tali, we’re so proud of you!
