24.01.2022 Congratulations to all 65 Choirs on your amazing performances over the past two days! Newcastle Chamber Choir won their 6 Open sections, including the Australian Open Choral Challenge. Barker College from Sydney won the 12 Years & Under Championship and its Copeland Choir took home a Platinum award for its performance in the Primary School Age Choirs. Radford College Chorale also received a Platinum award for outstanding performance. Many thanks to adjudicator Jodie Spooner-Ryan for your encouragement and positive feedback. And all the sponsors and volunteers who make the event happen!

23.01.2022 Vale Patricia Forbes (Whitbread) Last night, the world lost this beautiful lady. Patricia (Pat) was a long term supporter of the National Eisteddfod Singing Division and volunteered countless hours to assist it to run. Our warmest love and thoughts go out to her family and friends. ... Thanks Pat for all your dedication to music and for keeping it alive in Canberra. You will be missed.

22.01.2022 Choirs on today (schools at Canberra Girls Grammar School) and tomorrow (Open in Llewellyn Hall)!

18.01.2022 Come and see two leading Canberra bands, Canberra Brass and the Band of the Royal Military College, combine in this concert for a great cause.

17.01.2022 We are extremely sad to convey that Diana Owen passed away on Monday after fighting brain cancer for almost 18 months. Diana was a long supporter of the Eisteddfod, convening Instrumental division in the 1990s, working in our office and playing Harp at our and other functions. Her partner Paul Barsdell is still involved in Bands & Orchestras today. A funeral to celebrate Diana’s life will be held at Norwood Park Crematorium, Mitchell, on Thursday 26 November at 10.30am. Our sincere condolences to Paul and their families.

16.01.2022 Congratulations to all participants last weekend on a highly successful Eisteddfod! The level of playing throughout was very high, and the adjudicator, Warwick... Tyrrell, related well. Full results and other exciting news are in this article. Thanks heaps to all the participants, volunteers, audiences for your assistance. And the event wouldn't happen without fantastic partners like ArtsACT, Better Music, Quest Apartments and Canberra Park. Thankyou all! See more

15.01.2022 The Eisteddfod’s 2020 AGM just took place. We made the difficult decision to cancel all events this year due to COVID-19, uncertainties and associated unavailability of Llewellyn Hall and Ainslie Arts Centre. Onwards to 2021!

09.01.2022 Unfortunately we have decided to postpone the Bands & Orchestras event scheduled for May 21-24 due to Corona virus uncertainties and associated unavailability of Llewellyn Hall. Updates will be provided once the situation is clearer although this is clearly outside our control. Decisions on other Eisteddfod events will be made closer to their August/September dates. The AGM at Ainslie Arts Centre on Tuesday 24 March (7.30pm, Ainslie Arts Centre) is going ahead.
