24.01.2022 AOS / DESS X-Bow Platform Supply Vessel (PSV) Sea Surfer has successfully completed its campaign with Prelude FLNG. Sea Surfer was engaged by TechnipFMC for the transportation of Water Intake Riser (WIR) bundles between Darwin and the Prelude FLNG facility. The vessel and crew performed exceptionally ensuring another safe and efficient offshore execution by AOS.
24.01.2022 AOS Women Offshore AOS remain focused on gender diversity and advancing women’s participation in the Oil & Gas industry. The number of women in senior positions at AOS continues to rise as the company aims to promote gender diversity in our industry which is traditionally dominated by men. 22.01.2022 AOS are continuing to support our clients in New Zealand with vessel management, marine manning, rig manning, logistics support and catering services. The most recent of these projects was for manning and catering services for the jack up rig the COSL Boss as well as the DP3 Dive Support Vessel the Southern Star. Both projects were executed in the Taranaki Basin with the support of AOS NZ , based in New Plymouth.
20.01.2022 Ongoing marine manning for Fugro AOS continues to support Fugro operations in Australia and New Zealand in 2017. REM Etive manned with AOS marine and catering crews has successfully commenced her 2017 campaign this February near New Plymouth, New Zealand. 17.01.2022 Marine Crew and Catering for Subsea 7 in Australia AOS have continued its support of Subsea7 operations in Australia with the provision of marine crew and catering services. The Subsea7 owned and operated vessels Seven Eagle and Seven Oceans were utilised for the following projects in Bass Strait, Victoria:... Cooper Sole Pipelay project Subsea7 utilised the DP2 pipe lay vessel Seven Oceans for this scope. Esso Cobia project Subsea7 utilised the DP2 DSV Seven Eagle for the saturation dive scope of this project. We look forward to working on future projects with Subsea7.
14.01.2022 Ocean Monarch Loadout AOS Tow Master, Capt. Lee Nott has recently completed the successful load-out operation of the Semi-Submersible Drilling Rig Ocean Monarch onto HLV Blue Marlin, offshore Adelaide, SA in preparation for dry tow to Singapore. Capt. Lee Nott is no stranger to these big jobs, he was the Tow/Mooring Master representing McDermott on the Ichthys Central Process Facility (CPF) Ichthys Explorer and Ichthys FPSO Ichthys Venture. The CPF was the largest offsh...ore mooring hook-up operation ever undertaken in the world. Not long after that Lee joined the Shell Prelude FLNG for the mooring hook-up and heading control phase. Capt. Nott has completed over 150 rig move operations with AOS which include ultra-deep water anchors and pre-lay moorings, complex moorings over live infrastructure and Jack up rigs alongside gas platforms. 10.01.2022 Ongoing Marine Manning and Catering Services for Fugro AOS are continuing our long standing partnership with Fugro for the provision of marine crew and catering services. AOS are engaged by Fugro to provide full marine crew including deck officers, marine engineers, deck crew and crane operator. AOS also provide a full catering service including supply of provisions, menu planning and professional chefs and catering crew all based on an agreed daily budget. AOS have recently ...supported Fugro in the successful completion of a geotechnical drilling campaign for Esso in the Bass Strait. Fugro utilised the specialist geotechnical and scientific drilling vessel the Fugro Mariner for the campaign. Fugro project manager Abhijit Bandyopadhyay commented: The support received from AOS during the Bass Strait geotechnical campaign in providing marine crew and catering services for the Fugro Mariner has been outstanding. This was the first time the Fugro Mariner was being brought in Australia. Fugro engaged with AOS right from the start of the contract and worked together along the way in identifying key elements required to address smooth operation in Australia. The quality of marine crew provided onboard were excellent and the marine crew and project crew acted as a single team all through the campaign. The client provided good feedback on the high morale and safe working attitude amongst the crew. The catering services including quality of food, menu planning, delivery of provisions etc. were of high quality and received positive feedback from client and project team. We look forward to working with AOS in future. AOS are continuing to support Fugro on the Fugro Etive which is engaged in a long term IMR contract for Woodside.
08.01.2022 Towmasters on Prelude Commencing in July 2017, AOS provided a team of Tow masters for the tow of Shell’s Prelude FLNG facility from Geoje South Korea to North West Australia. Upon arrival AOS Mooring Masters controlled the hook up and heading control phases in the field. The tow was performed by four tugs and on arrival in the field the tugs were reconfigured for the hook up phase of the operation. This involved three tugs on the bow and three on the stern to allow 16 pre-po...sitioned mooring chains to be lifted from the seabed and secured to the facility. Following this the tugs were reconfigured again for the heading control phase. Four tugs were hooked up on the stern and to allow installation of the subsea risers and umbilicals. By December the heading control phase was completed and the tugs were disconnected. Prelude now freely weather vanes. AOS Captain Mark Bliss was involved in all stages of the tow, hook up and heading control. All phases were completed with no injuries or incidents recorded commented Captain Bliss, this was a testament to the professionalism of all of those involved on the project.
02.01.2022 Marine and catering crews for VOS Atlas VOS Atlas has recently mobilised to Australia manned with AOS marine crew. VOS Atlas is operated by Vroon Offshore and is a dedicated seismic support vessel. The vessel is currently operating in Hockey-Bianchi prospect, west of Barrow Island supporting seismic vessel Polarcus Naila.
