14.01.2022 Latest update about the future of AOC2020: The OT Board, with agreement from AOC2020 Director Warwick Moore, has decided to delay any decision until its next meeting, now scheduled for 15 May. Prime Minister Morrison has stated that National Cabinet will be reviewing the baseline restrictions currently in place by 14 May 2020. At that time OT will have better information on which to make a decision about AOC2020 (press on or delay). We are still committed to making the final decision by 31 May

10.01.2022 Orienteering Tasmania has suspended entries to the Australian Orienteering Championships 2020 for now. The situation will be reviewed by the OT Board at the end of April, and a final decision on whether this year’s Championships can go ahead will be made on May 31 at the latest. If the Championships do not go ahead this year, Orienteering Australia and Orienteering Victoria have agreed that it can be postponed to 2021 (here in Tasmania).... Warwick Moore Event Director

09.01.2022 We’re in the same situation here in Tasmania for this year’s Aus Champs. And as an island state we are concerned that even if things do open up, will there be affordable flights available for people to get here? We will be reviewing the situation at the end of April

05.01.2022 Here’s a GREAT DEAL from our mascot Turbo! Turbo encourages you to help look out for the environment and purchase a re-usable cup. You can use it out on your course, and back at the finish. How good is that! These soft, flexible & collapsible cups can be squished up and stashed into your race bag, pocket, sports top, socks or even under your hat. When you reach a water station you simply pull it out, fill it up and get refreshed with both water and that nice feeling that you ...are saving the world from one more plastic cup. It’s suitable for hot or cold liquids, and it’s free standing when you need it to be. These race cups are often mandatory equipment in trail races and a great option in heaps of situations, so if you buy one now, you’ll be ready when race season starts again. These cups can retail for up to $20 so you’ll never find a price less than this we’re offering them for $4 each of 4 for $15. Postage for up to 6 cups is just $2.20 - and of course you don’t have to be coming to AOC2021 to take advantage of this offer. 0rder yours now: https://eventor.orienteering.asn.au/Events/Show/10204
