25.01.2022 Spring is here and all the toys are out!
25.01.2022 2020 Hawkesbury Canoe Classic CANCELLED The organising committee of the Hawkesbury Canoe Classic has advised that the 2020 Classic has been cancelled. HCC Assoc...iation President, Roger Deane announced the decision this afternoon saying it was his sad duty to confirm the cancellation due to the ravages of COVID-19. Event Coordinator, Kent Heazlett has praised the efforts of the organising committee (including our publicity and COVID-19 sub-committees) saying that they had given it their very best shot to get the event over the line. Unfortunately, we fell short of our advertised target of having 200 paddlers entered and paid by the 4th September. The uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 regulations that may or may not be in place in late October has acted as a deterrent to paddlers committing to the event. Kent said that the support from our volunteer organisations , our Checkpoint teams, local Councils, Checkpoint land-owners and the NSW Government (Transport for NSW (Maritime) and NSW Police has been amazingly positive. Next year !!

I dont know if youll remember me, but I might have been your most recent Canadian customer. I was travelling and working in AUS when all that virus happened. My trip got cut short and I called you last minute, only a couple days before leaving, with a bunch of questions and asking if you could make a Jant...ex paddle for me to bring home. You also brought it to a friends house the day before my departure very well wrapped up for the plane and all. I brought it home and I really couldnt wait to try it. I finally tried it the other day and holy smokes was I flying! I am so happy with the paddle, it is clean, light, really easy on the shoulders and basically just flows. I highly appreciate the fact that you wrote my name on the paddle. CBJ: Actually when I was a kid I got into filming/photography because my older brother was always shredding. WA: Do you mostly film kayaking or other sports? What is your favorite sport to film? CBJ: Watching Aniol learn the Cataracts of the Kern as quickly as he did and find the rhythm of the water was astounding and simply put I just wanted to share what I had of him doing his thing.
