04.01.2022 Australian Pile Croppers showcases its ability to solve on-site pile reduction problems, this time on ground inclusion columns for the John Holland / Seymour Whyte JV on the Bruce Highway upgrade. As the video shows, the columns were of VERY irregular shape and contained a central glass fibre rod which could not be fractured or broken. With the problem of cost effectively reducing the RL of the columns and not really a flat surface to start from anywhere on the columns the on...ly realistic solution was to utilise the awesome APC Quad range of croppers. The Standard Quad opens to 690mm and down to 250mm enabling cropping of irregular piles without mechanical adjustment which made it the ideal candidate for the task. Prior to the task there was some concern expressed by the client over the cropping process and the integrity of the glass fibre rod.....
