20.01.2022 We are currently working on long term High End Restorations and we were given the task of restoring a Gottlieb "Sky Jump" and "Free Fall" from the same WA based collector. "Free Fall" is the "Add a Ball Version" of "Sky Jump", which is the commonly found 'Replay" version. "Free Fall" is EXTREMELY rare in Australia, and I'd be surprised if there are more than a handful on our shores. Wade Krause reproduced the "Sky Jump" and we had one shipped for this project. The artwork for... "Free Fall" is slightly different and unfortunately, there were not enough people interested in having a "Free Fall" reproduced in the same manner as "Sky Jump". After contacting Wade, he found a "Sky Jump" playfield that was a "seconds" playfield. We decided that we could convert the "seconds" playfield into a "Free Fall" playfield. There were lettering differences and and an extra insert to be changed for the "Free Fall". We approached Geoff Wills at Pinball Perfection and the plan was put into place. The conversion was completed within a month and both the "Sky Jump" and the "Free Fall" were cleared so that they have the same finish. The results are simply incredible. Both these machines and another couple W.A. Based restorations will be completed now that we have the playfields etc. Thanks to Wade Krausess and Geoff Wills for their efforts in making this possible. Please check the Album below for photos !
