22.01.2022 Winning gold is hard work regardless of what category you compete in. Reality is, only one person in your line up will win. One person. Soak that in. For most new athletes, it is important to remember you’re entering into a competition. ... It isn’t a weight loss show. It isn’t a transformation show (unless you do that category). It isn’t a ‘wow she suffered and came so far’ show. Judges are assigned to judge you on your physique, stage presence and overall look. One of the first things I do with all of my ladies is understanding the rules of their federation, the judging criteria and making sure we do exactly what they are asking for. Then, after we think we are perfect, we go back to the rules and criteria to ensure we are on track. It takes time, effort, consistency and a WHOLE lot of practice but winning can happen.
