21.01.2022 In Australia, renewable energy is growing at a per capita rate ten times faster than the world average. Between 2018 and 2020, Australia will install more than 16 gigawatts of wind and solar, an average rate of 220 watts per person per year. This is nearly three times faster than the next fastest country, Germany. Australia is demonstrating to the world how rapidly an industrialised country with a fossil-fuel-dominated electricity system can transition towards low-carbon, re...newable power generation. http://theconversation.com/australia-is-the-runaway-global-

19.01.2022 Financing renewables around the world: How does Australia stack up? Australia is witnessing a surge in renewable energy investment. Data published by Australias Clean Energy Council shows that a total of 25 wind and solar projects reached financial close in 2018 with a value of AU$6.3bn (US$4.5bn). How does this compare with the rest of the world? ... Globally, investment in clean energy amounted to more than AU$462bn (US$330bn) in 2018, according to Bloomberg New Energy Finance. Europe saw more than AU$103.6bn (US$74bn) pumped into clean energy in 2018 up 27% on 2017. In the US, meanwhile, investment exceeded AU$89.6bn (US$64bn). In China, clean energy investments totalled AU$140bn (US$100bn). To put this in perspective, renewables investment in Australia amounted to about AU$252 (US$180) per person in 2018. That puts Australia slightly behind the US, but well ahead of Europe and China, each of which invested about half of the Australian per capita total.

04.01.2022 Born 1981 - 1996, Millennials just like you are coming into the pre accumulation superannuation period, and your cohort are doing things very differently to the generations before. SMSFs as a millennial may involve a different approach on the part of your superannuation specialists, financial advisers and accountants - you have longer to prepare for your retirement, youre likely to require their services and advice for longer, and you just have different needs to the Boomers... or even Gen Xers. Its time that millennials are no longer dismissed as just the smashed avo generation or too young to be taken seriously yet. Your generation now make up about half of the Australian workforce and account for one in every three dollars spent - that puts you in a unique position in relation to the management of your superannuation. https://hubs.ly/H0nBWz40
