11.01.2022 Arts North West congratulates James Rogers on his stunning sculpture Blue Hills that was commissioned by Glen Innes Severn Council for the north roundabout on... the highway. James is a renowned sculptor from Walcha, who exhibits nationally, and at Sculpture by the Sea. Blue Hills is a strong statement which holds its own on a busy intersection. Inspired by the landscape and the distant blue of the Tablelands, it is a work that evolves over the day, playing on the different light and shadows that are created. This piece of public art certainly sparks conversation, tell stories and creates a sense of place and positions Glen Innes as significant tourist destination.
