19.01.2022 Operating days have been well supported by people of Bundaberg and a big thank you to all who support the railway. It helps us keep restoring locomotives like little "Germany" We now run Wednesdays and Sunday and it is looking good enough that we may do this permanently depending on the Pandemic. Our COVID 19 plan is working OK with our passengers cooperating very well during this trying time.

We have submitted our plans to the Health Department and will be advised when we can restart. The rail in front of the station has been pulled up and replaced with a concrete base, steel & concrete ties.

03.01.2022 Mother's Day is celebrated in Australia on the second Sunday in May. The tradition of giving gifts to mothers on Mother's Day in Australia was started by Mrs Janet Heyden, a resident of Leichhardt, Sydney, in 1924. She began the tradition during a visit to a patient at the Newington State Home for Women, where she met many lonely and forgotten mothers. To cheer them up, she rounded up support from local school children and businesses to donate and bring gifts to the women. E...very year thereafter, Mrs Heyden raised increasing support for the project from local businesses and even the local Mayor. Traditionally, the chrysanthemum is given to mothers for Mother's Day as the flower is naturally in season during May (autumn in Australia) and ends in "mum", a common affectionate shortening of "mother" in Australia. <3 Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 restrictions, we will miss seeing all of the families bringing their Mum's along for their special Mother's Day train ride. Hope you enjoy your special day. <3 .

03.01.2022 ASCR would like to thank all of our passengers for obeying the COVID 19 rules and enjoying the time with us during the School Holidays. Well done Bundaberg.

03.01.2022 Wednesday operation days looks like being very successful and will be presented at our next meeting for approval. We have had a lot of good feedback from customers coming over for a trip around the gardens. The gardens staff from the Regional Council are doing a great job and are opening up new areas around the double span bridge with walking paths all through that area. Our little diesel locomotive "VALDORA" is back on the track again after an overhaul of the transmission and will run on the 30th August.

03.01.2022 Station upgrade completed today Monday the 18th all in position ready fit for purpose. Ron and his men have done a marvelous job and it is great credit to their professionalism in completing the project on time and under budget.
