23.01.2022 VOLLEYBALL SUPER LEAGUE Queensland Pirates Volleyball dropped the first set against UTSSU Shield in their semi final, but came back string winning the match in 4 sets (23-25, 25-23, 25-18, 25-16). Pirates move into the GOLD medal match to defend their AVL crown, and will have to wait to see who will join them.

10.01.2022 The AVL Super League FINALS weekend kicks off in 4 days!! The matches begin at 10 am on December 7th, with QLD Pirates matching up against UTSSU Shield in the men’s competition. The Pirates have won every single game that they’ve played, and finished at the top of the table after the minor rounds, making them a tough opponent. Can Shield defend themselves and stop the Pirates’ relentless winning streak? At midday, Canberra Heat will challenge the Melbourne Vipers, also in the... men’s competition. You’ll recall that these teams went head-to-head in Round 2, with Heat barely beating the Vipers 3-2 in the first game. Is Heat going to be able to maintain their edge? At 2 pm, the Pirates take on Heat for the first women’s semi-final match. Just like in the men’s competition, the Pirates top the charts and will stop at nothing in their quest for victory. Could the Pirates plunder yet another win, or will Heat send this ship sinking once and for all? Finally, the Vipers will face Adelaide Storm at 7 pm in the women’s competition. These two are neck-and-neck, with each team winning one game against the other back in round 1. Which of these two titans will emerge victorious in the end? On Sunday the 8th, the losers of the men’s semi-finals will play off for the Bronze medal at 9:30 am, followed by the women’s Bronze medal match at 11:30 am. From 2:30 pm, the action really begins with the men’s Gold medal match determining the 2019 Super League Champion. This will then be followed by the women’s Gold medal match at 4:30 pm. 05.01.2022 VOLLEYBALL SUPER LEAGUE Melbourne Vipers have taken home the GOLD medal in the Women's Australian Volleyball Super League competition, continuing the winning streak for Victorian Women's volleyball. The Vipers defeated Queensland Pirates Volleyball in a mammoth battle 3:2 (20-25, 28-30, 25-16, 25-15, 15-12), denying the QLD club a clean sweep of the AOVC and AVSL.... This is the 7th consecutive Gold Medal for a Victorian women's team, with the Uni Blues having won the previous 6 (2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018), continuing on the tradition.
