22.01.2022 This week as we here at #SCNSW HQ are loving the Spring weather we have two Spring focused online events - that we are equally excited to bring to you! On ...#wednesday at 10 am we will be hosting our second #LIVEQandA with sheep parasitologist extraordinaire Dr Matt Playford, of Dawbuts - Matt will be on hand to answer all of YOUR sheep worm questions! Again, our audience size will be capped to ensure plenty of opportunity for interaction - so jump online and register early as our first session was fully subscribed! If you can't make it, the recordings of these sessions are not distributed, so you will need to be online at the time. Oh, and the rego process allows you to pre-ask your question, so that Matt's kicking off with the process right on time. Register here: https://bit.ly/3lvj8Vv Then on Thursday, at the usual time of 1pm, we will hear from AWI's Geoff Lindon, who will discuss breeding for improved blowfly control. A topic that on the back of last week's webinar topic (flies) that generated some social media discussion - so be sure to tune in and hear the latest on the subject. Especially timely with rams sales in full swing, and the spring fly season upon us! 18.01.2022 To reduce the Australian wool industrys risk of being too reliant on China as the major buyer of Australian greasy wool, AWI has an Emerging Markets strategy to identify and encourage potential new manufacturing hubs in Southeast Asia and the Indian sub-continent. The strategy aims to replicate the success that AWI has had in helping develop new manufacturing supply chains for wool products in Vietnam.https://bit.ly/366ZqtQ WoolProducers Australia Sheep Connect NSW Leading Sheep The Sheeps Back National Farmers' Federation

05.01.2022 ***FARM SAFETY ALERT*** AWH Gilman in South Australia have recently experienced three serious safety incidents in a short period of time. These incidents were as a result of the incorrect loading of bales of wool onto transport carriers. 2 of the incidents are reported in the attached notice of which one led to the hospitalisation of a driver, who as a result, will be unable to drive for an extended period of time.... The third incident was an observation of a similar loading configuration. These are very serious incidents that on further investigation have prompted AWH to seek Wool Industry assistance in communicating the correct procedures for the loading of wool, as referred to in the attached advice.
